Only a therapist who understands OCD can give you a proper diagnosis. If you have compulsions, you more than likely have obsessions as well. ERP is tough, but it does work.

Hey Abdul Rafie. I have OCD, but even with my OCD I too have certain compulsions I do that aren't because of any obsessions. I constantly feel like I have to perform very specific compulsions, but for NO specific reason at all, just simply for the heck of doing them because my mind is telling me too. These compulsions I have (that aren't tied to my other OCD related stuff) aren't really my main struggle though. They bother me for sure! But my "regular" OCD stuff is the bigger problem that I face day to day. I'm not really sure what solution to offer you though except that you should try your very best to ignore the compulsive thoughts and urges that you are having. I know it sounds like too simple of an answer for me to be suggesting, or that you've probably already thought of that but that it doesn't work. Honestly though, it REALLY does make a big difference over time! Trust me! I've been dealing with OCD since 2012, and I'm not saying that as if it's a contest on "whoever has had their OCD longer is the one who knows everything about it", but I'm saying that because back then I struggled SO much more than I do now. And the thing that made the biggest difference was just simply learning to ignore the OCD. It doesn't always work, you won't always win the battle, but you will soon start to see that you are winning the war. And the fact that you've been dealing with this for 2 or 3 years now is proof too that you are already winning friend! :) I hope that gives you some encouragement today friend! God bless! :)

@Abdul Rafie Yeah! You're welcome friend! :) sometimes OCD can get the best of us, but all we can do is try to do better the next time. So don't beat yourself up when you fall down, just get back up again and try to be confident in yourself. :) Hope you have a great day! π
