1. Those people don’t have OCD nor probably know what it is and 2. Even people without OCD question things. Like my friend questions is her boyfriend is really the one and etc… just because she questioned it doesn’t mean she doesn’t love him or that he isn’t the one

Intrusive thoughts are not reality. They are just thoughts. I agree with @Whyyocd that people who make those comments do not understand the complexity of OCD. Try saying “maybe, maybe not” to the questions/ thoughts your OCD throws at you. I always say to myself “do not feed the beast!”. You got this!

I have been doing okay for the past week or so and was really happy i felt that i was getting back on track, but today i went on tiktok and i saw something triggering which was “i thought i was a lesbian for 4 years until i met my now boyfriend” and it triggered me very badly, i have been crying all day and i can’t seem to make myself feel okay. i feel like im lying to myself that im not lesbian and i truly want men, but when i get any thought about men it feels disgusting and wrong and not me, i don’t want men i feel so sick i want to get out of this. i always felt so happy as a lesbian im so stuck i don’t want to be with a man. i have a loving girlfriend i just want to be happy with her.

I keep seeing tiktoks of things that are like ‘things I did as a lesbian in denial’ or ‘things my not so straight straight friend said’ and I feel like I might relate to some!! But idk!! It’s kinda triggering me. I’ve had this 5 years on and off now so when it comes back the whole well you’ve had it so long you must be gay comes up. I have been with my boyfriend almost 6 years and i love him so much I don’t want to be gay (nothing weong with it - I’m just not and don’t want to be!)

TikTok makes me question if I’m a bad person every day Every time a story goes viral—like the Uber Eats woman lying about her delivery at the hillside hospital—I spiral. I know what she did was very wrong, but the way people drag it out and make wild assumptions (“she probably lies at work too!”) feels extreme. I’ve never lied about missing food, but I have gotten refunds for bad orders in hard times. Now I’m panicking that maybe I’m just as bad, even though I wasn’t trying to scam. My OCD latches onto stuff like this and won’t let go. I just wish people understood how damaging these mob reactions can be. And honestly, why don’t these apps do proper investigations before punishing drivers or customers? Not everything is black and white. Idk maybe it’s just me but things can be handled without trying to go viral on tik tok.
