I just think this song is fitting for your situation, I hope it helps because it really helped me a couple weeks ago, I just started crying and releasing all of my emotions to God. And I felt so much better afterward. The song is called Don't Quit by Jordan Smith. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3D3C2VcFQGg4o&ved=2ahUKEwjOjsPipoTzAhVETTABHR_PCEMQtwJ6BAgWEAI&usg=AOvVaw3sKwNMK3t_L3cxUaZcjDm4

@Just Breathe ❤️ I'm sorry if I'm not helping much... I dont always know what to say when people are hurting... I just want them to not hurt anymore. I want you to be happy. I just know that you really are stronger han you think, just like you have written on your profile. Just think back on all of the moments that you have seen the light at the end of the tunnel in a difficult situation and that you have reached it before! That means you CAN do it again!

@Drew777 I don’t know. I feel like I deserve to go. I feel so broken. Why is my mind going against me? I don’t want to be a monster 😭

@Just Breathe ❤️ You're NOT a monster Just Breathe. Since I've met you and been talking with you I never once felt like I was talking to a "monster". I've always felt like I was talking to a very kind and caring human being from the first post of yours that I commented on. Remember that there is someone saying to you right now that you are amazing just the way you are! Go look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself "My OCD doesn't define me, I'm amazing just the way I am and God loves me so very much." I hope I'm not doing anything wrong... I'm afraid I may be giving you reassurance or something, and I don't want to say anything that is going to hinder you from improving with your OCD. :(

@Drew777 You’ve been so kind I don’t feel like I deserve it. I’m at the end of my rope. I have been crying and upset all day because it feels so convincing. It’s like my brain has broken and it feels as though I’m turning myself into someone I’m not. I keep getting thoughts that I need to end everything and I’m really scared. I’m only 22 I just want to be normal and live my life as I should I just want the pain to go away.

@Just Breathe ❤️ You always deserve kindness friend. I remember when I was younger and my OCD first started I would just cry a lot of the time at night, I couldn't sleep because of the thoughts tormenting my mind... and I understand, my brain still feels broken everyday too, but even a broken brain can be fixed. It's a daily battle, but you just have to grab your tools and fix whatever is broken on your brain that day. The next day something else might break, but you just have to keep fixing it, no matter how many times it takes. And fixing your brain isn't always just something you can do alone, sometimes too much is broken to take on all by yourself, you need more tools that you don't have in your toolbox, that's when we look to therapy for help, or (possibly) medication too. Having support from friends and loved ones is great and very helpful too. Do you ever talk to anyone else in your life about your OCD? And I don't mean me. I mean like family that is actually there with you, or close friends? It really makes a difference. Just this morning I was talking to my wife about some fears I was having, it helps to just know someone is there for you, someone that you can have a close bond with and hug and feel peaceful being with them. Of course you can still talk to me too, I'll reply as often as I can. :)

@Drew777 Thank you. I talk to my mom about it but she’s not very understanding when it comes to OCD so getting support from her is extremely hard

@Just Breathe ❤️ My mom used to try her best to be understanding, but I know that my OCD confused her a lot from time to time. I just found out earlier that there are OCD Community Groups on this app that you can join. It's like a place where a lot of people join on like a zoom call for an hour and just discuss there OCD with a doctor and I think with each other too maybe. (I'm not entirely sure yet though) but either way, I think it sounds like it would be very helpful. I don't know if we could join the same group or not, but I think it'd be cool if we could. (Hope that isn't weird of me to say though...) I just thought I would suggest it to you, but it's up to you whether you look into it or not. First and foremost you have to be comfortable with how you get help with OCD. Something that is really helpful to one person might not be helpful at all to someone else.

@Drew777 I haven’t joined the groups before. It makes me nervous even thinking about it but I will think about it

@Just Breathe ❤️ If it makes you feel any better, it makes me nervous too. They also have YouTube live streams every now and then that are also an hour long. I just watched my first one last night (even though I was late to it) and it was helpful. :) also it was less overwhelming than the OCD Community Groups because it doesn't put you on camera on there. You just listen to the guy talk and you can type a question (if you want to) and he will answer it, unless you wait too long to ask and time runs out before he gets to it. (That's what happened to me last night, lol.) Am I talking to you too much? I really hope I'm not annoying you at all... that's a big fear of mine, that I annoy people but that they just aren't telling me...

@Just Breathe ❤️ I'm sorry friend... :( Remember, these are intrusive thoughts that you are having because of your OCD. They are NOT you. The best thing you can do for yourself at this moment is to just do your best to ignore them. I know it's difficult... but I believe you can do it, you are strong Just Breathe. The more you argue back and forth with your OCD about it, the worse the intrusive thoughts are going to make you feel. OCD can't be reasoned with, so don't try and rationalize irrational thoughts. Can I send you a link to a song friend? Or is that weird?
