So you feel the clothes feels wrong for no apparent reason? My child suffers with clothing. Has nothing to do with the way she looks in them ... they just feel wrong... too tight.. too.many seams... too rough.. etc. I can't find more about this particular presentation of ocd. My child is 9

@linux I would also recommend looking into sensory processing issues and stuff like that because this reminds me of my struggles with that more than OCD depending on the root of it

@StormySkye But her ERP therapist thinks thatbis just OCD...... that it has a sensory component but that it is just right ocd. How did you deal with the sensory issues and how could you tell the difference between ocd and sensory processing disorder.

@linux I would say that you should explore the root feelings because sensory processing problems feel overwhelming and sort of frustrating and OCD (at least for me) is more of a panic feeling and like anxiety. Sensory issues can make you feel anxious or panicked because your senses are overwhelmed but the root feeling will be overwhelmed. I think a lot of therapists in my experience don’t quite understand sensory issues and like how to talk about them and understand them. They usually just think you are being particular about things when actually it’s more like they cause you pain or discomfort.

I have the same. For the last year I have been looking for the perfect shoes (I also have problems with laces), underpants, socks that just feel “right”. I can't stand accessories at all. Feeling like I feel things on me more than other people. It takes a long time to get used to an unusual, new type of clothing. I also have other OCD things.
