@Melodyocd Yeah comphet is another way for your ocd to “get proof”. Try to sit with the uncertainty. It’s a horrible feeling but OCD is just finding another way to get in.

@OCD33 I hope you’re right, because so many signs seem to be pointing to comphet for me… I haven’t had a crush for years :(

@Melodyocd OCD makes you even doubt if you have ocd !! It feels so so real :( but if it didn’t feel real then it wouldn’t be the disorder it is. Do some self care this weekend and DO NOT research anything. Just feeds its. Are you in therapy?

@OCD33 I’ll try my best, thank you 💖 and kind of, I went through therapy with nocd and now only see my therapist every other month. I’m doing A LOT better than I was, as before I couldn’t even leave the house and felt sick everyday from it all. Now I just kind of feel numb to all emotions instead and feel like I’m lying whenever I talk about crushes and things, which sucks but I guess is an improvement

@Melodyocd I’m very much in the same boat. I wasn’t even functioning and out of my mind. I can work now and am doing every day things but the thoughts are very much there every day. But at least I’m functioning (how sad of us to say that as like a positive 😑) are you on meds?

@OCD33 I guess it is positive though, it’s just unfortunate that we’re still going through this :( and yeah I am! I’m on sertraline (Zoloft) and it’s helped load but I think it’s the reason I feel no emotions anymore

@Melodyocd How long have you been suffering for?

@OCD33 I’m 22 now, but I first got this theme when I was 16, went to cbt therapy and pretty much fully recovered until January this year I had a huge spike (finding the master doc) and fell down a dark hole. Went through nocd for therapy which helped a lot but now I’m here

Stop reading the master doc it’s the stupidest thing ever. There’s no text book straight, pan, gay, lesbian. You are you you are and you look who you like ! You’ll feel so much better when you let go of this crap

I have been doing okay for the past week or so and was really happy i felt that i was getting back on track, but today i went on tiktok and i saw something triggering which was “i thought i was a lesbian for 4 years until i met my now boyfriend” and it triggered me very badly, i have been crying all day and i can’t seem to make myself feel okay. i feel like im lying to myself that im not lesbian and i truly want men, but when i get any thought about men it feels disgusting and wrong and not me, i don’t want men i feel so sick i want to get out of this. i always felt so happy as a lesbian im so stuck i don’t want to be with a man. i have a loving girlfriend i just want to be happy with her.

I watched the trailer for the movie “Am I Ok?” and got completely triggered. Basically a 32 yo woman discovers she’s a lesbian seemingly out of nowhere. I was triggers and did some research (bad idea) and apparently some people who are gay have never had romantic or sexual interest in people of the same sex until one spontaneous moment of discovery. Now I’m worried that this could be me!! I’ve never had a long term relationship, have had crushes and fantasies but back out when things get too close for me. I do prefer my little fantasy world guy but now I’m wondering if maybe I missed something and am in denial, even if I didn’t know it.

I keep seeing tiktoks of things that are like ‘things I did as a lesbian in denial’ or ‘things my not so straight straight friend said’ and I feel like I might relate to some!! But idk!! It’s kinda triggering me. I’ve had this 5 years on and off now so when it comes back the whole well you’ve had it so long you must be gay comes up. I have been with my boyfriend almost 6 years and i love him so much I don’t want to be gay (nothing weong with it - I’m just not and don’t want to be!)
