Yes. I feel that deeply and at the end of it.

Literally going through this now. My urges to look up triggering images/content is super exacerbated and the images in my head are constant.

it's normal as a female for us to go through different emotional periods with our cycle. sounds like your OCD is strong during this time because of your hormones. i would suggest keeping a journal near and keep track of your cycle and when your OCD thoughts peak. that way when you start to get very obsessive again, you can say to yourself - oh right, it's because of where i am with my cycle. that way you can be prepared for a spike and take control instead of giving in to your ocd!

So over all of this. Why do periods have to make everything so much worse. I keep thinking that I can get over an intrusive thought and then the next one comes in. My brain tries to make be obsess over something that i've already obsessed about and moved on from. Wish this could be over.

I see people post about how they feel like their thoughts are real. For me personally I deal with sexual intrusive thoughts and they feel real to me because it feels like I enjoy them. And when I say “it feels like I like them” that’s the same for me as saying “I like them” but some people say that’s different. Idk just curious as to what you guys feel!

How are your experiences during an ocd spike while going through a menstruation? It doesn't matter if you are afab, your experience is valid too! I noticed my thoughts get worsened and the spike intensified, but now that I'm taking sertraline I don't feel an panic attack as before but the throughs and feelings are definitely there so is an unpleasant situation
