Why don’t you want to be together with a girl @maddy12? I’m only asking because without knowing those reasons, I think it’s difficult for anyone in the forum to identify whether or not that’s strictly a feeling of OCD.

i dont know, i just dont feel anything romantically. yes i find women sexually attractive but ocd thoughts just tell me - you want to date her, look at her, shes beautiful. that gives me a lot of anxiety

How do you know that those are ocd thoughts and not just normal feelings of being gay or bisexual? It’s not uncommon to have those same kinds of feelings before coming out or exploring a healthy same sex relationship that could make you happy.

Is it possible that it’s scary or uncomfortable because it’s new and the church or society in general have just built it up that those feelings are wrong? (I’m a religious person myself, but I don’t believe it’s wrong to be gay or bisexual). Just curious because when it comes to sexuality and ocd I think it’s really important to consider that maybe there’s something else going on that could be preventing you from being happy in a relationship and it’s not necessarily the ocd or that the ocd may simply be triggered by feelings otherwise unrelated.

I apologize if I was being insensitive, that was not my intention. I wanted to understand it more because I came on the app to educate myself further as someone diagnosed with ocd.
