People with ocd don’t have the luxury of super clear and reliable “gut feelings.” Other people may have them and good for them! Not us. When we look to our gut, it just turns into a checking compulsion followed by rumination (also a compulsion) which leads to obsession. Enjoy your relationship. Forget your gut.
Yes! Someone told me to trust my gut but I feel like that's the worst advice to me. I have to trust my rational side of my brain above everything else
