I just want it to stop. I sometimes feel anxiety around my own boyfriend and I don't know what to do. I hope it doesn't mean we aren't right for each other. 😓 I just want to spend time with him without this feeling again and I don't know what to do.
be open with your partner about this feeling.. i remember when this first started for me, i was genuinely confused and i thought maybe this means that we shouldn’t be together so i used to tell him how i felt and suprisingly he was so supportive and understood and he didn’t feel scared or worried.. so my advice is to be open with your partner about this feelings to relieve some of that anxiety instead of just bottling it all up.

It's so stupid, I love him to death and want to be around him, but this feeling pops up when I want it least. Everything would be perfect if it was just gone. I miss how I felt before this worry. 😓

Hi! Feeling this same thing lol. It's so hard. I feel like there's something wrong but there's not. And I feel so detached and I'm wondering if he feels like it's not right? or do it? It comes and goes. Normally It stays for 1-2 weeks and it's HORRIBLE. Then it goes away and I feel clear in my head again....... My therapist said you just have to stick it out lol which kind of sucks :(
completely understand. honestly, talking to my partner about my ocd has helped. it is important that you make sure you're not letting his reassurance become a compulsion, though, so be aware of that. it was nice to not feel so stuck in my head and alone. if you're worried he won't understand, gather some info about ocd (especially the subtypes you're afflicted by), find a resource on how he can help you, and go from there.
I feel numb towards my partner? I know I dont want to leave him but I havr no anxiety anymore, and I just feel numb and a little weird towards him. I want this to stop
I hate that I dread spending time with my partner! I get so anxious that I might lose feelings when we spend time together or that I will say I want to break up or something. Most of the time it feels like ROCD but sometimes it doesn't and its so scary. Then if it isn't that, I obsess over all the mistakes I have made so I feel guilty and like a secret abuser which makes the relationship hard to enjoy too! Does anyone else dread being around their partner because of all the damage ROCD has done or is doing?
I went out with my bf and I felt anxious the entire time. I felt like I was out of love and critiqued every little thing: his height, his face, his skin, etc. I feel awful and I'm scared I don't love him. I don't want to not love him :( He's so fucking amazing but it feels like I genuinely don't and that made me feel so emotional and almost cry right in front of him. I don't want to break up with him, I don't want to leave him, I want to love him. I do love him. :( I love how considerate and sweet he is, how much effort he puts in, how patient he is, but after a few years I still struggling with "feeling" in love, whatever that means. I want him, forever. Why does it not feel like it?
