Second question anyone else straight but ocd made them feel otherwise When sexual orientation OCD hits it makes me feel like I lost all my attraction to men. I saw a transgender female to male looked kinda cute and fear took over me and now I can’t feel anything about men I’m not attracted to women at all or any other transgender but My biggest worry is that I won’t get back on my attractions and I have to fake it till I make it and I don’t want to do that I want my natural straight feelings and thoughts to come back and I wanted to come back now

i can’t relate on the first question, but as for the second, yes. i have never been so confused. i have also lost my attraction and i think i’m now starting to get false attraction and it’s just a massive mess i want out of
Mine haven't come back stronger but I keep getting the backdoor spike. And I have Sexual Orientation OCD too. It sucks. It really does make you lose attraction to men and I don't feel like myself at all.

Tells me I’m bi, in gay, I’m not in love w my boyfriend and now all the sudden that I’m non binary or Trans (when I have always been the girliest girl who is confident and comfortable with my female Identiy. Ocd loves to trick us. I’m sorry that you are struggling

How did you get over it?
I’m still in it love😭 I’m trying to resist it and not believe it but it’s hard. I’m starting ERP and I am hopeful for relief. Try when the thiughts come into you’re head to count to 5, and say maybe, maybe not I don’t know abs it doesn’t matter. If it wasn’t OCD, all ur thinking would have helped you figure it out by now!
It’s only this person no one else no other transgender that I came across Plus I’m not attracted to women It hurts because it’s only this person and out of 12 pictures I saw , one is attractive to me and I can’t get it out of my head or accept it abs move on . I know in my soul I’m straight but this keeps popping in my head . The problem is this person only or else my life is ok
So that is evidence that it IS ocd. I know it’s AWFUL.

I even thought so what you find one picture attractive , it doesn’t take away from you being straight and still it keeps popping in my head I’m struggling . I’m on a higher dose of meds and it’s only my 6 day so I’m Hoping it’s all ocd . It def feels like a freak attraction

@Hopingforacure Because OCD makes us crazy, wants us to seek reassurance and makes us so sick to our stomachs. Everything you are feeling is OCD. I KNOW it’s hard to believe but just trust me that I feel exactly like you

@SDW453 So if this was real , I would have done something about it 4 years ago ? My ocd overall has been 12 years the pictures I saw was 4 years ago If anything would have been real then I would’ve probably gone for it by now so I guess that makes me hopeful know that this is all OCD

My concern is what if it doesn’t especially since it’s been a while since I thought sexually about a man I don’t have thoughts about women but wil my attractions come back ?
@Hopingforacure I feel that way too. I promise When the OCD quiets down, it will al come back. I’ve been spiraling about that too today. Why do I get sensory reactions when I think about two girls rather than a guy abs a girl? Why do I get sensory reactions when seeing women strippers and not men strippers? It’s our brain playing tricks on us and our OCD making us stay in the loop so it has more power. I know it’s OCD bc when I’m spiraling about for example a different theme about me cheating on my boyfriend with another guy, I can easily disprove my thoughts. Ocd sucks!

So I’ve SOOCD since I was in 8 th grade and it got really bad when I had an intrusive thought as to what if I was bi. And ever since then I’ve had self destructive behavior to where I would think the thoughts on purpose or about women and checking them out and flirting with them. ( I identify as straight) and over time these thoughts and self destructive behavior hasn’t bothered me and now they feel apart of me I know apart of it is ocd but also it’s me like me willingly looking at women and me wanting to have sexual thoughts or feel aroused and in reality if I never had ocd I would never think this way I could live without women and never sleeping with them I do have a bf and I love him and am attracted to him rn thought bc of what happened last night with a women it’s hard to feel that can anyone relate?
What’s your experience on: Losing opposite gender attraction? And, False attraction to same gender? I have both and I feel like I don’t know who I am. I can’t parent or be a husband due to the mass panic and anxiety. Just wanted to know if anyone has had both and regained theirself?
Im a straight man and sometimes I make the mistake of compulsively getting on here. It’s gotten better but I slip sometimes. I feel like I’m alone in this and I even read on some OCD page that Women are more likely to suffer from this theme than Men. That just makes me feel like I’m in denial of some sort. I feel alone and feel like my intrusive thoughts are different. I know that’s what everyone who has ocd thinks, but I can’t help shake the feeling like what if I’m lying to myself or what if I have some underlying secret. I don’t want to be gay. I find I argue with myself in my head over and over and sometimes by repeating “I don’t want to be gay, I want to be straight” I’ll end up saying the opposite and that would scare me even though I know that It happened because I’m constantly fighting with OCD. Just feeling a bit down today. I had a sexual dream about an ex girlfriend and it felt great and I’m not scared by it. I find and want to be with Women romantically til forever.
