Getting "pumped up" helped my anxiety
I'm not sure if this is a valid coping skill, or if it goes against ERP, but this morning when I started to feel helpless and sad for myself again, I started to get mad instead. I said "I'm fed up with you anxiety, I don't want to feel you, so I'm going to fight you as hard as I can. I'm done giving in and giving up over and over", and it has really helped me with my anxiety today. When I start to get anxious now, I get firm with myself and go "no. I am not putting up with you anymore. I'm going to do what I want and feel what I want".
