Any tips on how to explain your OCD to a person and it actually makes sense lol?
There’s something everyone can relate to: remembering an embarrassing memory. As soon as you remember it, you’re thinking about it all day and you can’t seem to let it go. But because it was so long ago, you can’t change it. That’s what OCDs like, you can’t change it but you can’t let it go.
It’s the panic you get when you have to go somewhere and can’t find your keys - that nagging feeling that something is wrong but with guilt and it goes on for sometimes all day.
if so, at what point? and how much do you explain? are there sources you like to use that might explain to them what it actually is?
I’m having a big OCD relapse and would like to hear anyone’s tips on how to be present and healthily deal with these intrusive thoughts and the “need” to preform compulsions. Thank you!!
