I’m so scared of the uncertainty of what’s gonna happen in the world , I wake up everyday and get a fear that maybe the rapture is coming , or aliens 🤦🏼♀️ I just keep taking it day by day and it sucks. I hate this fear , I’m 15 and I’m afraid I’m not gonna be able to grow up .. have kids get married raise my kids because of this world. It sucks :(
hey, just know you’re absolutely not alone. it’s normal to think about the future, but we can’t be fearful and let it consume our lives. i understand how hard it is, and it definitely takes time to learn how to not let fear destroy everything good. i’m 20 and i still experience fear as you do, but as you get older you learn how to cope with it better. i promise you things will not always be as difficult as they are now, you’re growing up and rightfully have fears about the world, and i assure you by the time you’re ready to have kids you’ll be an amazing parents who has a lot more figured out. not everything of course, but a lot more. so do your best to focus on the good of the world, even if there doesn’t always seem to be any. but if you really aren’t able to control your thought and it gets to the point where you’re constantly fearful, reach out to someone. therapy is not shameful in any way, and it saves so many peoples lives. it’s best to get these things under control while you’re young so you can enjoy how beautiful life can be for as long as possible. a fear of the unknown and not having control of everything is a tell tale sign of ocd, so you may consider talking to someone about that as well. hope this helps a bit, best wishes :)

Totally normal, when these fears come up make sure you appreciate how creative your brain is for coming up with this. Something that us OCD sufferers have is a creative and imaginative mind, so it's a blessing and curse. It helps me to thank my creativity as it's a gift. My mind comes up with so many theories which is good, this is how great movies are written or books.

Its so fucking great that you are on this app at 15 years old! You identified your OCD so early in your life which will certainly benefit you in your recovery. I also suffer from OCD in many forms from early puberty on. I remember all the pain that I felt in those times and really wish you relief of it. The world sometimes feels too big to be understood, but thats the catch: you have to live with the unvertainty of life in order to be happy. Anything COULD happen… or couldn‘t. You just can not be sure… and that is okay. I really wish you all the best and I promise you: it will get better! :)

And yes I was actually diagnosed at 14 because mine was more of “ don’t wear that color or your whole family is gonna die” or contamination ocd. and then I got diagnosed and put on prozac , haven’t been on it in a while and then my ocd started popping up in a bunch of ways that I didn’t was my ocd. so now I know how to explain it
why am I so scared of death at 15 ???? I think everything is a sign and I’m constantly in fear of how my friends and family would feel if I died it makes me wanna cry. 🥹🥹
Recent world events have me stressing so much about the state of the world and I’m panicked that the world is gonna end and I won’t be able to live the life I want and the thought of other people suffering is incredibly distressing. It’s stupid I know. But I can’t rly enjoy anything. The second I enjoy myself a thought pops in like “hey you can’t be happy right now, remember this?” And it’s super stressful. I know I have no control so it’s pointless to stress about but I felt this way during Covid too. I hope nothing escalates to the point of like, apocalyptic catastrophe but my brain won’t let the thought go. It’s so silly I know.
I'm literally just hanging out with my sister and having a good time and I realized "I'm not gonna be young like this forever" and that I'm not immune to death or aging. I'm living just to slowly watch my body die. I'm already going to be 15 this year. I've already passed so much time and I feel like it's going to be so quick and I'll be dead. What if I like living more? What if there's nothing after death? What if it's just black and everything is for nothing. It kinda makes me wish I wasn't born so i wouldn't have to deal with this. it's so stressful. Every moment that passes I'm just getting closer to something I can't control. It's so scary. I can't do this. I physically cannot accept one day I'm going to be gone absolutely forever. I'll have to leave everything. Two minutes ago I wasn't as close to death as I am now. I'm cant handle this.
