Good day everyone š Hope everyone is doing ok I am driving myself crazy with doubt that I have something else psychologically wrong with me aswell as OCD which Iām diagnosed with. Iām scared they didnāt tell me something š Does anyone else get these fears?

Yep! Most important thing to do is to sit in the fear. Take 10 minutes of your day and just sit with it. Donāt try to argue with it, donāt try to engage. Just let the thoughts come in and out, donāt latch onto a certain one. Think of OCD as an annoying stray cat that wonāt go away because you keep giving it food. Food= fear, doubt, anxiety. The more you feed the cat, the more it comes back. Itāll wait at your door and try to find a way in your house. And the more you give in and open the door the more the cat will return. BUT if you just sit there and donāt open the door, the cat will start to learn you arenāt going to feed it. It may get mad at first and try scratching at the door more frequent or bring more cat friends around but as you continue to sit there and not open the door, the cat will leave. The cat might pop up but it already knows you wonāt feed it so itāll go away quicker. I hope that analogy helped lol itās early in the morning and the first thing I thought of was a cat. Do ERP as well and youāll beat this.

@jay71 Yep! I have harm OCD, so iāll think i have schizophrenia or psychosis. The fear of developing or potentially already having it is what helps bring me to the realization of āof course I donāt have it.ā Then the what ifs will start and thatās the clear indicator of OCD. If your scared and checking in on your emotional well-being or thought stopping/replacing, a person with either of those mental health issues would never even think to join a forum about it or be scared in the first place. I have pure O as well, so the mental drain it was taking on me was exhausting. After a little while you think to yourself Iāve been scared of (insert thought here) for so long yet it hasnāt happened yet/probably will never happen. Great advice my therapist taught me is probability over possibility. The probability of your worst thoughts happening is next to none, there is always the possibility of it happening and thatās what people need to be comfortable with. Same way as how if you purchase a lottery ticket. The probability of you winning is like 1/3000000, is there a possibility, sure but chances are itās not going to happen.

I have been told that what I have is OCD, but sometimes I doubt it and scare myself and say what if itās not, what if itās actually a curse, what if I have to do what my brain wants me to do? Iām scared and I think my period is affecting me really bad.
Starting to think I have unresolved childhood trauma unfortunately. Health OCD is also driving my absolutely crazy but I'm too scared to go to my doctor. I worry about diabetes, illnesses, cancer, skin problems, etc. I just hope everything works out in the end. Right now I just can't do the things I love doing because I'm constantly worrying about everything. All of my worries are exacerbated and I just can't keep them away. They only come back.
Iāve never been diagnosed with OCD, but I relate so much to what people here are going through. I used to think it was just anxiety, and I felt like I could handle that. But lately Iāve been spiralingāconstantly afraid that what Iām feeling is something worse, like psychosis or losing control of my mind. I feel so detached and scared, and I just want peace again. I have anxiety doing the smallest things, like the thought of waking up everyday and even eating give me straight up panic. I am afraid all the time, itās paralyzing. And a lot of people say someone with psychosis wouldnāt worry that theyāre in it, but then I convince myself Iāve been in it this whole time, and havenāt known, and that maybe Iāve been doing weird stuff. Idk. I also get really scared of labels. Even the idea of OCD makes me feel like Iāll never get better or like Iāll be stuck like this forever. I just want to be okay. If anyone has felt this wayāconfused, overwhelmed, or scared of whatās happening in their mindāIād really appreciate any support or encouragement.
