Anyone check out that new interview Joe Rogan did with Luke Combs? He talked about his OCD and explained pure O perfectly. It’s so nice to see someone with the platform he has to be speaking out about OCD and how debilitating it can be. Give it a watch! He specifically hits on harm OCD which might help those who are struggling at the moment.
I haven’t but I’m so glad he explained it! Didn’t know he had it but glad he’s saying something.
I just watched it on YouTube. Is there a way to see the full podcast? End of it he was talking about therapy. He made a good point, but I thought ERP helps? As I'm in ERP and having to discuss my themes each week 🤦♀️

I’ve been watching a lot of NOCD content and you’re like the face of NOCD. So… you have been treating OCD for 25 years, but you don’t have OCD, but you can think like somebody who has OCD. How do you not get worried about unsettling thoughts across probably a lot of subtypes if they’re there in your head? Are there really people who can think obsessive thoughts and just let them go? Do you really not have OCD? Are you sure?
Someone I care about has OCD, he often gets worried to answer certain things in fear that he might be wrong or gets anxious in times when certain conversations such as dealing with negative emotions come into play and in the event something goes wrong even though we deal with the issue it takes him a long time to put himself back together. Often times worried about his image, hyper focused on being a good person etc etc. I believe I’m doing my best but as someone who doesn’t struggle with OCD I cant fully comprehend him and i wish to learn more about it, not just read it off of google. Any advice would be appreciate it. -Thank you!
I haven’t done a Q&A in over a year (my bad) but I used to do these at least once a month. Work is slow today, so please send me any questions you have about OCD and I’ll answer them as best as I can. A little about me: I’ve been subclinical/recovered for going on 5 years and I’ve been on this app volunteering since 2019 in an unofficial capacity—I’m not connected to the NOCD team, so I don’t have any badges. I did ERP treatment with my therapist in-person while I was also being treated for PTSD. I have OCD, PTSD, ADHD, depression, GAD, social anxiety, driving anxiety, and a few speech impediments.
