Remember that the fact that it's upsetting you means it's ego-dystonic (meaning you don't want the thoughts, feelings or urges). That means it's OCD. If you WANTED those thoughts or feelings, it wouldn't bother you so much or you'd be happy about it. That's been a huge help to me navigating this theme. Our OCD latches onto what's upsetting to us.
