Please help - ROCD after a fight
Hey all just looking for advice here - does anyone else get an rOCD spike after a fight? My boyfriend and I got into an argument (we rarely if ever argue) and we raised our voices at each other (he did first). Afterwards I set a boundary and said that we should never raise voices or yell at each other if we’re upset. He apologized and said he’d try his hardest to not let that happen again. I forgive him as he’s kinda going through a hard time right now, and in the over a year since we started dating he’s never raised his voice at me before this argument, even in previous arguments. But my ocd is saying “are we toxic? Is this bad? What does this mean?” I want to also say I’ve been in veryyyy toxic relationships before and my relationship now is nothing compared to those. It’s been the most healthy and loving relationship I’ve ever been in and I believe we’ll be engaged soon. Overall we communicate our feelings pretty healthy and over communicate if anything. But because we got into a heated argument my ocd is severely spiking. Really just looking for advice on how to forgive and trust and move on, and also if this has happened to anyone else?
