Does OCD ever make you feel like you don’t want to be with your preferred opposite sex and makes you think you want to kiss / be with / have sex with the same sex? I don’t know what thoughts are mine or not or why it feels exciting but this is distressing
Yes… it’s really tough. I feel so alone in this sometimes. When I’m low, I really feel like I have to press the nuclear button on my life and end my loving relationship because I must be gay.

I had a really triggering session with my therapist after we did an ERP. I do sometimes truly believe I am gay and I just have so much internalised homophobia due to where I am from. It is KILLING ME. Also in a loving relationship with a man, but I’ve had so many issues in intimacy etc, I just don’t know anymore. It’s been going on so so long (although this is the first time I have sought out NOCD)TikTok is the worst for my anxiety as well.
@Anonymous My feeling is that my therapist thinks I am gay as I can actually experience mental desire in some of the thoughts. I hate it about myself. I really hate it.
@0876 Thank you. I really don’t want it to be true. But I haven’t actually been diagnosed, as it hasn’t really latched onto any other theme in my life. And I do experience mental desire. So she thinks I have anxiety rather than OCD. Not sure what the significance of that means tbh
@0876 Fantasies. The feeling that I like it, I guess. Then the horrible feelings and anxiety come afterwards as I realised I liked it and hate that I like it and feel more than I would with the opposite sex. I don’t know if many others feel this way. It’s hard.
@0876 Unfortunately not. I’ve always had underwhelming experiences with men. That’s why I am so scared. A lot of people talk about the “old me” but I don’t think that applies to me tbh. I think if I did have that to rely on, it would be more confirming that it is OCD. I feel you though, it’s so hard.
@0876 So a lot of definitions that I’ve read report feeling no desire or sexual arousal for their feared sexual orientation. Personally, this isn’t true for me. I do. I think it’s also “egosyntonic” and “Egodystonic” or something like that.

I have the kiss stuff a lot
So I’ve SOOCD since I was in 8 th grade and it got really bad when I had an intrusive thought as to what if I was bi. And ever since then I’ve had self destructive behavior to where I would think the thoughts on purpose or about women and checking them out and flirting with them. ( I identify as straight) and over time these thoughts and self destructive behavior hasn’t bothered me and now they feel apart of me I know apart of it is ocd but also it’s me like me willingly looking at women and me wanting to have sexual thoughts or feel aroused and in reality if I never had ocd I would never think this way I could live without women and never sleeping with them I do have a bf and I love him and am attracted to him rn thought bc of what happened last night with a women it’s hard to feel that can anyone relate?
When i do the compulsion of checking if i want my bf or a girl it always makes me feel like with my bf i cant kiss 1nd then i am like this is because of ocd but when i then think about kissing a woman it feels like it would go easy , shouldnt the compulsion bring me peace like bad reassurance ? Does this mean i am not into men , it feels way to similar ,like my intrusive thoughts are like normal thoughts
I really dont know if it is ocd anymore I dont want certain sexual things with my bf anymore that i used to like When i envision it with a girl it is so easy to envision and it feels like i want that , that will give me the satisfaction This feeling is making me really question if i am still into men , desire men sexually Is this still ocd , i really dont know anymore , as it is a feeling it is too real
