So i have had this incest OCD for a while now. I'm scared rn because i feel no anxiety whatsoever to this thought in this precise moment. I don't want to fall in love with My sister. I won't ever act on it but i'm scared i have fallen... I don't know what to do. I'm going to therapy and to a psychatric Center but i still feel very guilty about all of this.
hi i totally understand and struggle with the same things regarding inappropriate thoughts about family members. i know it feels super scary and uncontrollable and those thoughts might make you question your intentions or desires. but truly remember ocd is making those fears feel real and are making your world smaller. you should try and not answer to the anxious “what ifs” and don’t give it attention because it’s not important or worth worrying about. i know something like this can feel really distressing but intrusive thoughts do not reflect truth. you can overcome this, i’m right along side you. please reach out if you need anything.

@Kai95 Oh, I see, does it happen whenever you're around your sister? You see, our brain is quite intelligent, however it seems to misfire a lot of the time and mispercieves something as a threat. It enters fight or flight which is why you feel such adrenaline, but I think if you're comfortable enough, why don't you explain to me how you're feeling about these thoughts?
@Anonymous I feel like i don't want them. It usually happens when i'm close to her. I can't stand being alone with her due to this anxiety (it really feels like anxiety). But, right now for example, i don't feel that anxious, which scares me and makes me think it's becoming a real thing. I don't know if im being clear about this... i won't ever act on these intrusive thoughts but i still feel uncomfortable when i'm with her
@Anonymous I used to have Harm OCD a long time ago, but i barely remember how i felt during that crisis
@Kai95 I completely understand! This definitely sounds like OCD, I am so sorry that OCD is making you feel like this is real, please as much as you may dispise these thoughts. Do not do any sort of compulsion including avoiding her, this is your OCD talking
@Anonymous I have tried to not give into that compulsion but My OCD has tried to convince me in several ways that this is real. I used to have groinals, but they disappeared like 3 days ago... now i'm left with this fear of falling in love with her
@Kai95 That's a completely understandable fear, I am truly so sorry you're suffering like this, but please understand that our bodies are sexual in nature and they would react to anything they find to be sexual since we as humans are built like that, as for the falling in love, I see completely where you're coming from as it's a general disturbing thought, take a deep breathe, and remind yourself that you know who you're and to not answer OCD
TW!!!! TW! Not talking abt SOCD in talking abt those really gross intrusive thoughts about sexual things with family ,friends, animals, random people. Mine is with family specifically my mom and I am so scared and my OCD is saying I actually want these thoughts to happen irl. I’m scared and these thoughts aren’t just the average incest thoughts there are sooo messed up it crazy, a few weeks ago I gas a thought that I was pregnant with that family member I mentioned before and I know ewwwwww wtf it’s sooo bad and I’m scared ppl will judge me for it in here or my therapist I’m so scared and it keeps adding to this thought like what it would be like if that were true and it’s sounds so crazy and gross and f****d up I feel so guilty and scared and I don’t wanna do ERP cuz I’m scared worse thoughts will come and your probably think well I can’t get worse then that but unfortunately it probably could anyways I’m sorry for ranting and pls pls reply cuz I feel rlly alone cuz I feel like no one gets THESE thoughts aghhh 😖
I really don't know wtf to do. Out of everything I've been through this has to be the last straw. I'm getting so much better with regards to POCD and HOCD but omw! This is the worst. I actually never had incest intrusive thoughts or even pedophile intrusive thoughts until I basically had an existential crisis where I asked some really normal thoughts I'd say but due to OCD, they were just blown out of proportion. One of the questions being "are morals real?" I think I did quite well with unlearning and learning in the "existential crisis phase" but one thing that stuck is incest OCD! That scared me from the beginning right now it's just so bad. It's okay for me to be around my family, I can handle that to a certain extent but the problem is other families. It's like my perception of families has been ruined. I hear about families and immediately think of incest between them and it's frustrating! I don't know how to see families the same way anymore aarg!!!!! I don't like this !
Hi I just have a few questions! (Im 14 btw) Okay so basically I’m really worried I’ll become a pedo/I already am and I don’t know it yet. I’m also really scared if I SA someone, even tho I don’t want to and I’d never do something like that but I feel like this part of me is saying that I will and it’s really scaring me. I feel so alone and I’m so scared I’m a bad person on the inside and this isn’t ocd and I’m gonna unleash hell on this earth I’m so scared. I’ll get a thought like if I’m walking past someone random it will be like “What if you sa them?” And it scares me so bad I feel horrible for thinking that. Is this apart of it? I feel like I’m always fixated on the topic of sa to check if I would do something like that, I don’t know anymore I just feel like a bad person (btw I have not done anything like that to anyone!)
