Does anyone’s ocd make them feel certain they did something. My ocd is making me feel certain I had bad intentions but my intentions were subconscious and I am starting to feel like those subconscious intentions were true but it feels certain like my gut
I think (could be wrong) that this has something to do with False Memory OCD in addition to the Relationship OCD -I’m also sensing a little Harm or Pure subtype as well idk I’m not a professional haha Point is: You are no where near alone I have this constantly 💔 I’m going to give you two pieces of advice I should take myself lol 1. You CANNOT think your way OUT of ruminating Why? Logical answers will not be solved through Emotionally motivated investigations/replays of the moment You only distort the accuracy your memories aka the opposite of what your attempting to achieve 2. Say: “Thanks Brain for trying to help me find a potential problem to keep me safe, but that is actually counterintuitive/unhelpful for this situation.” Why? Your brain truly is on your side, just doesn’t have the most sound method Be kind to it, not mean or too NICE aka listening to the toxic advice it is giving you Basically, set a boundary with yourself.
That’s kinda my question. All my thoughts feel so realistic and so now I doubt if they are ocd and if I just can’t make my mind up about something and I’m using ocd as an excuse or something idc I feel like this post is word vomit.
Does anyone imagine they are doing their harm thoughts during an action, making you feel like you acted on your thoughts? For example, someone gave me a hug and at the last second I imagined I was touching something I shouldn’t during the hug? I want to make it clear it’s something I have zero desire to do! But the problem is, I thought it on purpose and it makes me sick !! Obviously nothing happened but my mind is telling me that was me trying to do it. Even though it was physically impossible to do. Am I a monster or could this be OCD? I’m freaking out and don’t want to be here anymore. I feel like I’m the exception and that this isn’t OCD. I know I post about this stuff a lot but I’m struggling and don’t know what to do.
I had a horrible thought and it was my own thought. I feel awful. Also my heart is racing all the time
