Mental checking?
Hi everyone! I just wanted to go on here, because lately I’ve been dealing with a lot of thoughts that make me hyperaware of the loss of an intrusive thought, and I was wondering if anyone experiences the same? I deal with a lot of constant intrusive thoughts, but often, out of the blue, I get distracted for a while, and then all of sudden it’s like my mind pops out and reminds me/tells me I haven’t thought of the intrusive thought I’ve been dealing with. Is this a mental compulsion? It’s just so automatic. And now, these past few days, I’ve been dealing with even more of those pop out moments and not necessarily the intrusive thought, and that has been making me feel a little bit panicked. And now I’m so hyperaware of the pop out moments that I get even more panicked. Does anyone relate? Any tips?
