Advices for guy with a gf with ocd?

Hey! Hello. I'm a guy from Spain who wants to help his girlfriend with OCD. Any advice? Lately, she's been struggling a lot with relationship ocd. She questions herself if she loves me or if I could want to be with other people... She doesn't even leave her house for fear of seeing other people and her body reacting as if she liked them. Excuse me if I made mistakes writting in english! Plus: If someone here talks spanish and want to share experiences with her, please let me know! It would be great if she could meet more people with OCD... Now she is creating her own account♡.

Avoiding going out gives the fear more power. Gently and slowly she should go out and accept that maybe she will have intrusive thoughts and feelings and that that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Just accept the thoughts happen and move on. Don't get them importance because they're not. And slowly they will not be as loud anymore.

I understand her. My ocd does this and it's because we care Ab you guys so much. Meaning I care Ab my boyfriend so much that my ocd attacks us. Same with hers. Her ocd will attack what she loves. Be there for her and understand her. Let her know that she is okay. Normal feelings. It's ok to think someone else is attractive that doesn't mean she's attracted to them. Let her know that she doesn't need to explain everyting. Let her know you love her because oh she loves you so much.

Hey, yo hablo castellano. No sé si puedo ayudar, no tengo mucha experiencia todavía con el toc pero si crees que puede ser de ayuda aquí estoy. Mi recomendación es que busque a un psicoterapeuta que practique terapia de exposición y prevención de respuesta y este especializado en toc. Es un camino muy duro pero el tratamiento es super efectivo.

ocd is controlling my life

hey everyone. i’m not sure if this app will help me or not, but i feel the need to try anything because i can’t keep living like this. i struggle with obsessing over everything in my life. it feels like everyday my brain picks a new thing in my life to obsess over. for the past couple days ive been obsessing over my interpersonal relationships. for example; “do i like the people im with” “do i like my friends as more than just friends” “do i actually love these people or am i lying to everyone”. it’s been really messing with me and making me question my support system. i can’t stop stressing. i’m even afraid to talk about it with my therapist because i have those thoughts about her too. i’m new to my OCD diagnosis (got diagnosed last month) i was hospitalized for a week because i couldn’t function. i also obsess over my sexuality and nothing i pick for me ever feels quite right. i recently started a relationship with someone who’s trans, so maybe that’s why? does anyone else go through this? my brain tries to convince me that i do this to myself and that im making it all up. but who would want to feel this way? uggghhh

Would someone help me with this OCD thought ?

So i use to get a lot of relationship OCD. I recently got into a relationship two months ago. i have been experiencing some relationship OCD thoughts like “do i like my partner enough” and to complete the compulsion of telling them that i am having this thought. I use to be able to conquer them but after bringing it up in therapy it got worse. does anyone have any recommendations on how to conquer this compulsion and thought? I don’t want to scare my partner away.

Relationship OCD

Hello, I recently discovered I may have relationship OCD. I haven’t been formally diagnosed yet but I started experiencing thoughts like “I don’t really love him” or “I’m gonna break up with him”, and sometimes even thoughts that he doesn’t love me or he’s gonna leave me. This all started when I got a text from a former partner, and it was very surprising. I thought since it affected me so much that it meant I still loved him and that I didn’t love my current boyfriend. Before this event, I struggled with intrusive thoughts and compulsions but never about relationships and I didn’t think I had OCD. I wasn’t experiencing any of these specific thoughts before I got that text, and it’s really scary and I’m afraid my thoughts are true. I really do love my boyfriend but these thoughts are really making me depressed.
