Does anyone else get intrusive thoughts that are commands? Like “you need to kill someone” or things like that. I feel crazy even typing that but sometimes mine are like that and I hate them
I had a random thought a few months ago about my boyfriend that said “kill him” and I have been distressed since wondering if I am capable of such a thing. I have since talked to him about it and he helps me ground myself and remember I would never do something like that but the fact that the thought comes into my head makes me feel otherwise. Yes, command style intrusive thoughts are scary. I was wondering if other people suffer with this as well.

@Anonymous Yeh. Mine came in the form of audible hallucinations. Had them for 2 years. They went in one day and never had them again. I forget the name of the method I used

Just wanted to say that the first intrusive thought I had a month ago was this exact same one. I hope you’re doing better now. I’m in the beginning of recovery. It’s so so so challenging but it genuinely helps to know I’m not alone. ❤️

I get thoughts daily like “I am going to hang myself today” or “I have to kill my brother today” or other command like thoughts. How can I make these thoughts go away?
Does anyone else’s intrusive thoughts just repeat over and over and over again? I have harm ocd and sometimes the thoughts will just be like “K!ll him” over and over and over again. It freaks me out so bad. 😭 maybe I’m just actually horrible and this isn’t ocd. This makes me feel like it’s probably not ocd because this probably doesn’t happen to anybody else.
does any one else have an intrusive thought and you go over it in your head and try to see if you react in a good or bad way? i’ve been having bad intrusive thoughts but i sometimes have this feeling inside that i like it? and i feel it’s right and i agree inside but my other thoughts are saying no i hate it ?!
