OCD and church

I can relate very much to this. I am in AZ with the same dilemma. I found Mark DeJesus books and website to be the best hope for my ROCD. He goes live on you tube and rumble every Sunday night.

I have looked and looked. There was an in person Christian Group at Willow Creek in Chicago but the leader passed away and it eventually dissolved a few years ago. I think it is so sad that it is hard to find in person Christian support groups for OCD and am so grateful that NOCD exists. I have considered starting one. In addition to Mark deJesus you should check out Jaimie Eckert at scrupulosity.com. Also, OCDandChristianty.com is a great site run by Dr. Ian Osborn - a psychiatrist, Christian, and OCD sufferer. And lastly, I recently published a book called “Waging War Against OCD - A Christian Approach to Victory.” You can see more details about it at WagingWarAgainstOCD.com. I hope some of this helps!

Thank you so much for your responses. I have checked both out. It would just be nice to be able to speak to someone directly about these things. Very frustrating that there isn’t. I signed up for Jamie Eckert’s program because it said it had twice weekly meetings and one on one coaching available and was a little upset to find it was really only once a week and that the one on ones are full. I guess once a week group coaching is better than nothing

Yes, it is so frustrating. I forgot to mention - there is a therapist named Carrie Bock who has a podcast called "Hope for Anxiety and OCD." If you sign up for her newsletter I believe she may also have groups that meet virtually.
