anyone else have this? It’s like every sound I hear when I’m home alone i worry it’s in my head. I often feel like i see something out if the corner of my eye moving and it isn’t keep in mind my peripheral vision is messed up from astigmatism so it’s most likely that.
A few years ago I used to watch this girl on tik tok who would record her dads daily life (he had developed schizophrenia after someone laced his blunt and gave it to him at a party) and I was intrigued at how her dad coped with his mental health issue of schizophrenia and I was addicted to watching her videos. After a while I started to get so paranoid that I wld randomly develop it and so I stopped watching her videos to ease my OCD. This is definitely a common ocd thought but we have to remember that we have no control over what our life holds. Is it likely? No , but is it impossible? Also no. The thought in itself is still irrational because there would have to a cause for anyone to develop schizophrenia. I think the best thing you can do is ground yourself in your current reality which is that you are a decently healthy individual who doesn’t have schizophrenia but rather you have ocd which you are learning tools to cope with. Remind your own brain of the reality

Yes. It was how I discovered I had OCD. I went to the doctor thinking I had schizophrenia and eventually I ended up with an OCD diagnosis. Stay strong!
i need this but i struggle with this so much.
I had this years ago so bad and can relate to this. It will hopefully pass for you like it did for me. I just had to stop doing the checking, the googling, the different things like that that I knew had only been making it worse. I also did exposure therapy and it helped me a lot. I know how difficult this is and how much space it takes up in the mind, but you will get through it. You’re on here and have awareness and insight which in itself points away.

Anyone else afraid they’re schizophrenic?? I am legit scared that everyone I see if you to put like a tracker in my car or stalk me even though I know not everyone will do that and it’s scarying me?

Anybody struggle with thinking you have schizophrenia or are slowly developing it? Mine just kinda popped up out of the blue today. Idk why I have a sudden feeling that I might hear or see something that nobody else will hear or see. I just feel like I’m stuck in my own head and I might act out of impulse. It’s making me feel anxious, uncomfortable, and worried that something might be wrong with me. I even feel like covering my ears so I can calm myself down with some piece and quiet. Please tell me someone else knows what I’m talking about
