Robert Bray

I’m new to all this, but it seems that this individual Robert Bray is the only person who seems to be discussing sensorimotor OCD. I’m looking for a very objective opinion here. Upon looking him up I came across some very bad reviews, but those seem to be at least two years old. Then I see comments that are more recent, and they seem very positive I like to believe that people can, and do, change. Despite some of the bad reviews that he has from a couple years ago, can anyone speak to what it’s like to work with him now?

Personally I've dealt with nick and he's always in a rush like the first person commented I dont feel like he puts his 100 % in his 1 on 1s and he brags about how millionaires are paying him x amount of dollars just to speak to him for 5 minutes. Overall I didn't feel like he cared he kind of has business mentality that he's not good at hiding.

@Ocd9999 Oh…. That’s really unfortunate. He seems so personable in his videos. I can definitely pick up on his fast talk and intensity. Has he been helpful at all?

Personally I didn’t find that his 1 to 1s with him helped me. He didn’t give me any examples of erp for so ocd. The sessions are £110 and meant to last 50 mins and 2 times the calls came to an end after 15 mins. One time he actually forgot about our session together because he was watching the dart finals! And then he passed me on to one of his colleague sams which was a bit better but not great. I found my therapy with nocd helped much more. However I do find that his videos are very useful but his 1 to 1s didn’t work for me, you might feel differently though! X

@Anonymous Also I only had 3 calls with him and 2 of them were 15 minutes long, the first one was about half an hour and he didn’t really ask about how it started for me and my themes etc. and the fourth one he cancelled 30 minutes after the call was suppose to begin as he was watching the dart finals!

@Anonymous And the 2 exposures he did give me examples of were ridiculous! Tried to throw me striaght in the deep end which would of only made me worse! He wanted me to go to a gay bar or download tinder and set it to girls as my preference and start swiping!!!!! Personally I feel like that was too much

@Anonymous That sounds like an awful experience. Was the other coach worth the time? I watched some of the videos on their YouTube channel. Nick seems like a very upbeat and positive person.

@Anonymous So I finally bit the bullet and had a session with Nick. Personally, I think he was great. He was very compassionate, enthusiastic, and helpful. He has a very similar personality to me, so when he told me I actually need to back off a little and stop trying so hard, it made sense. I can’t force recovery. It’s not something where I can just work harder and work more. I felt he was very kind, understanding, and insightful.

I’m new to the app, wanting feedback?

I’m new to the app and wanting to know who else experiences this form of ocd. Some background I was a therapist for over 10 years now I am out of the clinical space. So I have background knowledge of ocd but never knew much about relationship ocd. I realized over the last several years with my now fiancé, that I have a hard time just letting go in general, whether that’s an argument or statement or feeling. I want to be able to just accept things at face value and move on (and talk later if my partner is ready as needed). But when conflict arises I can’t disengage till there is a clear resolution. It’s causing serious strife as he can feel trapped and it escalates the argument. I am reading more and this sounds like relationship OCD. Anyone else experience this? Curious on what others have done to work on this for themselves. I do have a therapist but we are not doing work in this area yet as I am realizing this is an actual concern.

Hello, my name is Brittany, and I have been living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for as long as I can remember. However, since experiencing a stroke that I believe was a result of chiropractic care, my struggles have intensified and become overwhelmingly exhausting. I have always been acutely aware of my body and its signals, which has led to a heightened sense of worry about potential health complications. Though I’ve always had a tendency to worry, the anxiety that has surged since my stroke feels insurmountable. I’m reaching out in hopes of connecting with others who understand this journey, sharing stories and experiences in the hope that, one day, I might find a way to overcome these challenges or at least discover some relief from the relentless grip of anxiety.

Is it normal to think your therapist does not know how to treat ocd? What is a good therapist in ocd?
