Hey, it's hard I know, and I know you have so much enough of people telling you that you need to be strong and do it.
I know it cause I have been there, and who knows, maybe will be there some day. Just know that you are not alone. We are in this together and we will get out of this together.
So the thing is, yeah, ERP is the right way and you should do it in order to live a better life with OCD. But I get it, you are exhausted and people telling you to just do it doesn't help, cause that's what you already know right?
Maybe you need something to gain some power, listen to "I am not afraid" from Eminem, or perhaps cry a bit, that might help. It also might help to try to make a different form of therapy, I don't mean to let ERP go, cause it's the effective thing, but have you heard of ACT therapy? It's about acceptance and commitment. There is a good book, it's called "the ACT workbook for OCD". Also try to attend to the self help groups and speak openly to others about your struggles, community helps:)
I am here for you and damn I won't let you down, I won't leave this hell without you. You got this!! No, we got this!!!
So, what about you do this:
Cry a bit. Yeah I fucking mean it, let all the shit out. You are angry and you should be, it's not fair.
After you calmed down a bit, listen to I'm not afraid by Eminem, to build up your courage, read a bit about ACT therapy or buy the book if you want:)
Then choose your lowest trigger, do an exposure for just 5 or 15 minutes.
Fuck yeah, you have done it, You are back it the Seattle and you coming in hot.
Now you killed the zombies on your door and dealed with the short term fuck, it's time for your reward, do something relaxing what you like, eat chocolate, chill out and go to sleep, of course OCD will be there, but we will deal with it later.
When you wake up, you search for self help groups in the nocd app and talk to others, same as yesterday you inform yourself a bit about ACT and do a little exposure of a LOW trigger, what about 30 minutes?
