I used to love commentary youtube in the background but now I cant watch it because it always making me spiral into epsiodes of thinking that I am being talked about in the visdeo/have done all these things the people that are being talked about in the video. I get scared that they will mention me or talk about me in the video and say that Ive done all the things theyre talking about, even though I havent. Is the ocd related
Whenever I'm out in public and I overhear someone saying one word even remotely kind of relevant to me, like 'that girl' i automatically think they're talking about me. Even if they're not looking at me. It is so exhausting.

Omg my OCD used to do the same thing to me. I used to love watching commentary videos about a problematic Youtuber, and I would spiral thinking that I was the same as the YouTuber being talked about. The best thing for me was to continue watching the videos and exposing myself to the thoughts and eventually they went away. Best of luck! You’ve got this!

My suicidal OCD is making me avoid stuff i want to do, I want to make youtube videos but I am scared bacause of youtubers who have comitted suicide in the past, and agh its so scary, I get so scared that somehow I will just snap into a suicidal way and kill myself even tho I really dont want to, im just scared ill randomly suddenly become suicidal and never get better even tho i have never been suicjdal in my life and I have never ever agreed with it being the right thing to do
So I watch daily videos of a mother and daughter that do make up and talk. They are so funny. The daughter is about 10-13. She always talks about her school crush in almost every video and her mom always rolls her eyes and they just make me laugh because I have a daughter that age. So I was watching their new video today and after watching their videos for so long and listening to the daughter always go on and on about this boy she likes, I simply thought to myself I wonder what this boy she has such a crush on looks like. As soon as I thought that, my ocd has me questioning myself telling me I am inappropriate for wondering that. I know I wasn’t thinking anything wrong but why does my ocd always make me feel like a bad person? Am I? I hate my brain and living. I can’t do or think anything normal without questioning it and feeling like a horrible abnormal unworthy person.
Was watching a YouTube video and the person talked about school shootings & how people are crazy. I immediately got distressed thinking “what if i’m crazy, what if I do something as horrible as that” and got so many scary intrusive thoughts after. I feel so ashamed and i feel like a terrible person for these thoughts and some days I want to burst out crying but no tears come out, just a lot of panic & worry. I feel so shameful. And to make matters worse, later that day I saw this funny news for a video game and I didn’t remember how to spell it correctly and when I pressed search, I saw a photo of a bullet & that made me feel so damn scared. Like what if I intentionally searched for it even though I was expecting a video game. Then I started thinking about how on the news they always claim the mass shooters would be obsessed with firearms and It just made my OCD that much worse. Then my OCD goes into my past to find “evidence” that could prove I’m a horrible person that would do something like that. I can’t get these intrusive thoughts and images out and I hate it. I hate violence. I’ve talked to my therapist over and over about how I feel like this horrible person and I give her a list of all the things that I’ve done wrong and to her, she knows that it’s OCD. I would never intentionally physically harm anyone. The only time I would get into a physical confrontation is to defend myself or loved ones. I just feel like I’m going crazy
