No this is a good thing. My therapist did the same thing to me. She didn't give me any type of feedback for a while because she knew my thoughts were going into that exact mindset like yours did. Essentially you did ERP by facing those intrusive thoughts and acknowledging them and not trying to do any compulsions!! Good job!! I wish you the best on your healing journey

My therapist did the same. She actually never gave me any feedback, she just told me how to deal with my thoughts and then later on we talked about obsessions and compulsions, but at the beginning of my “journey” I had no idea what was going on. So I think you should give it a chance and see how it works. Hope it helps. I have your same subtypes, so I just want to say that I feel you :)

My therapist did this too 🥲 she didn’t give reassurance but validated how difficult this experience was/is for me. This triggered me a lot tho bc I thought “did I say something that makes her think I’m gay?” and “am I lying to her but don’t know it?”. Not getting reassured sent my anxiety through the roof. It’s a universal experience for all of us with OCD - if we don’t get the answers we want we freak out lol.

@blazed Yep! Now mine is a little more vocal and share more now but boy beforehand she was just as silent as could be. It made me so nervous
