Does arousal = sexual orientation? Sometimes I get turned on by the female body (in porn) but I have no intention to do anything with them nor am I attracted to women that way in real life. My brain keeps telling me otherwise and I'm so confused rn. I've been attracted to men all my life
this is actually a very normal thing, seeing anyone naked can stimulate arousal. i can give you an example of Trixie Mattel (a very famous drag queen who is known for being So So Gay), has talked openly on his shows that he has been turned on by the females in porn even though he is fully gay. not trying to give reassurance, but i thought knowing even famous gay people can be attracted to seeing the opposite gender naked. There are also plenty of lesbians who like to see mlm porn. it goes both ways

I'm the same way. I watch the women in porn more than I do men but I think it's because it's the way it's filmed is to target men and also because the men they choose aren't as good looking. Although I do this I've only dated men and have no intention or really hooking up with a woman irl or having a relationship (although I'm open to it I just have never felt that and so I identify as straight most of the time). Ofc you could always meet the right person to make you feel differently but don't feel like you need a label or to have it all figured out.

Ok I have a question for y’all. After you have a good moment with a guy, like when you think about him and want to be with him and it feels good, does anyone get the intrusive thought “what if I’m romantically attracted to men but sexually attracted to women?” Because that just came up for me and it is not fun and very worrying. Because I have been aroused by lesbian porn (I did this before my HOCD intrusive thoughts started) and now I’m worried because I was aroused by that I can only be sexually attracted to women ?
Anyone here with hocd that used to watch lesbian porn? I used to and now it totally freaks me out thinking that I want them. But I don’t. I haven’t watched porn in months, since this all started! I just tried watching male masturbation porn and it didn’t really turn me on...now all I can think is that female porn would... before it was never an issue, I never thought twice about it, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I get turned on by seeing womens bodies in a way that I dont by men’s. But at the same time I think some male features are attractive and I like my bf’s body. With men its more about the vibe Some people can say maybe im more demisexual with men. Or that its okay to feel attraction to both genders in different ways. Or some could still think im a lesbian with comphet (maybe half true, but I have felt genuine attraction to bf before) I guess its my ocd that makes this feel urgent enough to end things with my partner. Because I feel uncertain and want the certainty, and to not waste any of his time. I just wish I understood myself better.
