What helps when u can't stop an obsessive thought from Occuring?
It’s not about stopping the thought. It’s about learning how to sit with how the thought makes you feel without doing a compulsion to try to rid yourself of the anxiety or disgust you feel. The more you sit with the feeling and accept it and let it pass, the more free you become of the persistent thoughts.
to carry on with your day, think that thought then continue with what you were doing or were going to do. give it no power, its allowed to be there because you cant stop it you never will be able to stop intrusive thoughts

Hello!! does anyone have any tips on how to stop prayer ocd, I have to pray for forgiveness every time a bad thought, or word pops up in my head, and sometimes my ocd tells me I say it but idk if that’s true or not. Ive had this ocd theme for quite a long time and I want to stop it
how do i snap my self out of a suicidal ocd episode? it’s constant thoughrs i feel scared and hopeless. i just want to be better, any suggestions help
When an intrusive thought comes I can’t just say “that’s not true” and just move on. I always feel like I have to disprove the thought and be able to say it with confidence but the problem is that the ocd doesn’t allow me to feel and say it with confidence so I get stuck for hours or even days. How can I stop feeling like I need to do this?
