What helps when u can't stop an obsessive thought from Occuring?
It’s not about stopping the thought. It’s about learning how to sit with how the thought makes you feel without doing a compulsion to try to rid yourself of the anxiety or disgust you feel. The more you sit with the feeling and accept it and let it pass, the more free you become of the persistent thoughts.

Another way to describe it is a loss of ability to let uncomfortable thoughts flow through our minds. It's like a fire alarm going off in our heads and an urgency to work out what these thoughts mean and what we can do about them and it's the exact reason why going to talk therapy is the worst thing that someone with OCD can do.

How to stop it It's fueled my ocd to the extent that I am confused whether the thought came just because of ocd or it's me who is thinking it Purposefully I'm suffering from pure ocd magical thinking ocd Pls reply
