moral failing. advice plz

referring back to an old post, where i allowed my cat to lick my hand/arm while engaging in compulsion (msturbation) due to a groinal response being caused by the cat licking my hand. i intended to have the cat keep licking my hand and or arm so that i could just finish the compulsion and get it over with. according to CHATGPT i morally and ethically failed me and my cat and i need serious help. also said that this is rare and not seen in ocd. i am so sad. if i do need serious help and seem like a creep, i would want brutal honesty. i feel like i need to be taken away.

You have to reach out for help. Sounds like you are in a bad state. I am brutal honest: you are in pain because of OCD - not because of something else. Please reach out for a therapist in yoyr area or at NOCD. You don't need to livf like a slave to your fears.

@dee012 Bad state= OCD lying to you, nothing else. Think about a friend in your position - and you have the answer. All of us with OCD doubt that it is OCD at one point. It is called "the doubting desease" Stop asking for more reassurance, no one can convince OCD when you are in the loop. Step out of the loop - let the thoughts be there and give them no response. Direct your focus unto something more valuable. And again: search treatment.

@dee012 You are welcome. Do you know that OCD people are very sensitive and very kind? That's why we fear doing something evil so much. I like ICBT therapy because it involves trusting ourselves, it's so important.

You are not a creep. You are having an obsessive thought right now by thinking you are bad. Cats do not realize you are doing things to yourself . You listened to your body's needs but did not hurt the cat! If you had fondled the cat or intentionally made it do things then that's harmful. It sounds like you went through possible sexual abuse and it's so confusing to deal with. It sounds like ocd and ptsd combined to me. Please take care!

@DejaVu777 Thank you for your comment. I didn’t intentionally make it touch me anywhere inappropriate. I let my cat keep licking me and put my arm and hand in the position it was in where it licked me, therefore it continued to lick my arm/hand. That is why ChatGPT said I morally failed, because I intended to have the cat lick my hand/arm in order to finish the compulsion.

@DejaVu777 I did go through some things that I guess could fall under sexual abuse. I had a sortve strange childhood. But it wasn’t outright extreme sexual abuse so I never decided to try and figure it out.

@dee012 You didn't say anything wrong at all. It may take me time to reply as I'm not the best at checking apps. Childhood trauma is always tricky because it makes our brains wire to keep us safe. I have very scary thoughts from my abuse and I didn't know if that could be similar to yours Glad I could help in some way .
