@Ms.shelovesfrogs In my town we have a system called āHair Clubā I am in the kids version and I have wigs that I wear.
@Bookgirlš I just cover my hair
In what situations do you pull your hair
@Mrcino 1408 Usually it is at night when I cannot get to sleep, I have really bad insomnia.
@Bookgirlš That s ocd telling you to do?
I have struggled with hair pulling since I was 13-14 years old and Iām 27 now. I go through periods where itās really bad and periods where Iām barely doing it. Iāve noticed that itās affected a lot by how my life is going. The only thing that typically helps when Iām in a time where Iām pulling a lot is to just pull my hair all the way back into a ponytail or Bobby pins if itās too short and itās a reminder not to pull whenever I reach up to do it.
Iām also suffering with this! Iāve been doing it since I was 18 years old and Iām now 26 years old. Iāve also played with my hair but Iāve never took it to the extent I have the past 8 years. My hair is so short and different lengths as well as super thin. I use to have long thick hair. Iāve dealt with a lot of trauma in my life that I think has caused this but Iām not sure. But Iām here for advice! I hope you found what helped you to stop š«¶š»
I cannot get over my perfectionism ocd surrounding my hair. The color needs to be perfect without any undertone left of red or orange, or I freak out (due to past experience). Iām a natural brunette, so I dye my hair brownā¦. Making me have red/orange undertones. I want to get over my ocd completely and the fear I get from dying it/looking at it/constantly checking and comparing to others hair. Itās exhausting. Any tips ? I want ocd to stop taking control of my life. I want to enjoy getting my hair done and not freaking out every second over it.
Hi everyone. <3 was wondering if anyone with experience dealing with excoriation/skin-picking disorder has some tips or tricks that have particularly helped them. Came to NOCD this week for help - first timer that would really like to be able to wear a tank top again š š« I did join the BFRB support group but unfortunately will be on a night shift this week when it meets . Thank you in advance ā¤ļø
Hi! I have Religious OCD, and have been recently needing some tips on how to deal with this painful disorder. I constantly feel like God is telling me to do certain things for example, ādonāt go there,ā or ādonāt do this or else it will be against my plan for your life.ā This causes me so much anxiety, and makes me question if I am doing the right things to live according to his will for my life. Iām constantly worried Iām disappointing Him. Also while praying I get thoughts in my head saying I should for example, add for religious practices to my routine. This also causes me stress because while dealing with this disorder, daily religious practices become very overwhelming. Iām worried that if I ignore these thoughts during my prayer, I am ignoring God. I have truly hit a limit where I donāt even know what to do, and am searching for some tips if anybody on here has any. Letās overcome this OCD together. Thank you
