What irritates me the most is that during intimacy with my husband, it happens that OCD puts an image and scene in my head, my sister or someone for whom my OCD is attached and it's literally as if that intimacy is happening with that person, and it seems real that I can and it's exciting! I'm working on ERP during that, but it's still hard to digest... I don't know if it's the same for you?
Yes, it happens to me too. It’s awful. Especially when you feel like you like it. Then it’s awful and confusing. :( I’m sorry, you’re not alone though!
@issphra 🫶🏻 yes, that's it, and if I accidentally ruminate later, the feeling intensifies, and that moment of imagining that I can still "fantasize" about it... ...I'm sorry that you're going through that too...

@Anony1314 I'm so sorry that this is happening to you too. Literally in many ways this creeps in everywhere. The worst thing is that ocd uses what pleases me personally, from touching during intrusive thoughts, and then when it happens with my husband, he just switches roles nicely!

@-Anonymous17 thank you for your honest answer, I know that ocd is like that, but I can't keep up with how persistently it seems very real and how it keeps putting it in my head... how it switches roles and it seems like it's real and the intimacy is going on.. yikes..
I sometimes get this and it is the worst. I sometimes even physically cringe away from my partner at the thought. It sucks and really ruins the moment. But as per usual, I just try to push it away and bring myself back to the present and reality, it's not easy but at least I'm trying to live my life despite the awful thoughts, I don't want to let them ruin everything for me, I am allowed to enjoy things and feel good.
@Jinxx.4444 you are right! It's the same with me, I'm trying really hard to continue in spite of it, I don't let it ruin everything for me, but it's really miserable that it constantly imposes doubt and makes everything dirty...

@Jessie- nothing at all.. just to continue without paying attention to it... and ok I do, but it's not pleasant at all...

@Jessie- me too...but it's definitely not like that, it's just an ideal moment for thoughts to sink in, and ours is to change the focus without analysis...but it's certainly not an ideal feeling for any of us...
This is the one topic I don’t find much discussion about online, and I’m wondering how many of you have experienced this. Have any of you been prevented from engaging in intimate acts by your OCD? Has your OCD affected intimacy between you and your partner/s? I’m discovering that this is very much the case for me, and I know it’s probably the same for lots of folks out there!
I can't anymore.. Erp is very traumatic for me. It's about a sexual topic, and I come out with those scenes in my head, as well as photos of that person where their face makes me think of sexual grimaces. Every time, but every time during practice, I get detailed scenes and groinal. To me it looks like real sexual excitement, and I don't know exactly how to be immune to something that is sex in itself! I don't believe it's part of ocd at all..because it won't come off me and I can't believe it's not me
I was having intimacy. Watching p0rn. And during climax i got intrusive thoughts a d anxious. I hate when this happens. As a compulsion whenever i get intrusive ocd thoughts i usually think of my wife or therapist (whose a man) and say their name. For my wife its because shes the love of my life. My comfort. And during intimacy of course to arouse over her. When i think of my therapist its not anything sexual its just like a comforting thought since hes the one that is helping me thru ocd. But now ocd is saying why did i think lf him during climax. And in my head i heard my voicr saying his name but this was my way of distracting myself from the intrusive thoughts. It wasnt to arouse myself over him it was tk distract myself and it wasnt a compulsion. Ocd tries associating it with my sexual experience and its making me feel very guilty and anxious. Then i worry was i saying his name. I did in my head but it wasnt again a compulsion tk distract from ocd. Then that made me anxious so i said my wifes name and thougjt kf her. I just had intrusive thought so i panicked and out of compulsive habit i usual say thr name of my wifr and therapist
