Medication blues
My therapist is heavily recommending i talk to a psychiatrist for my OCD and I really don’t want to. I have had bad experiences with meds in the past and have already tried a lot of the meds recommended for OCD. They were prescribed before I knew I had it, when I thought I just had GAD. What I really want is loads of reassurance from people who have been in this boat and tried meds but I know that won’t help me. So instead I’m asking what you guys did to force yourself to try medication either again or for the first time. What did your uncertainty statements look like? And how did you juggle the financial aspect? I am already in the red from paying for this therapy. I was barely able to budget for NOCD and am having a hard time seeing how I will be able to pay for medications and refills
