Honestly, I think a little part of everyone feels this way. No one TRULY knows the meaning of life except God Himself. But what has helped me, especially with my religious and existential doubts, is that if there really is a God (❤️✝️) then perfect, I have repented and have turned my eyes to Him. And if there isn't? I'll know that id lived my life well. Yeah, ive done bad things, and I changed (thank Jesus!!) And im doing so much better. Even if you dont believe in the truths of the Bible, the universal morals are there. Love your neighbors as yourself, love and respect your parents and other authorities, be humble and generous, etc. And there's so many reasons why people read this. Even atheists read the Bible, one, to learn, and two, because of the, again, universal morals. So for me, I found my purpose in God Lord Jesus. It says in John 3:16– "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life." Even if the thought of eternity and infinity scares you–it scares me cus I dont fully understand it– the joy that God has given me and that I have experienced since surrendering my life to Christ, I would love to have that joy forever. Because in Christ alone, ive found peace when I tried to find it in so many other things and I couldn't. And dont get me wrong, I still go through tough times. Christ Himself said that our lives as Christians won't be easy, that we will still have trials and tribulations, but that we have Him to help us along. Lean on him! Matthew 5:3–"God blesses those who are poor in spirit and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs." Matthew 11:28-30–"Then Jesus said, 'Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." So basically, God is there for you. Trust in Him and His Word and He will reveal Himself to you. He is there for you. He has loved you since the beginning. Before you ever thought of heard about Him, He already had over a million thoughts about you. It says in Psalm 139:13-14–"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." (Emphasis added :)) And in the beginning of Psalm 139, verses 1-6, it says: "You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my laying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain." So basically here it talks about how God is all knowing and He still loves you, SO MUCH! I pray and hope that this touched a special place in your heart because I legit didnt copy paste, I wrote this down with my fingers and read it from my physical bible 😅.
