It’s super distressing but I’ve experienced some of what you feel now. It went on for years and later it switched to other themes but essentially it’s OCD. The app lets you speak with someone I believe and also if you’re in LA or don’t mind doing video calls there’s the OCD Center of LA that’s where I’m currently doing my therapy. There’s hope and don’t feel ashamed to look for the proper help. Believe me when I say that OCD Therapist have heard it all. Much love and hope ❤️

Yes, I am currently going through this. Yesterday morning I woke up thinking about putting my cat in the microwave. Other times I imagine gutting the cat or stabbing my husband to death while he's asleep. I think it's called harm OCD or pure OCD (which is mostly the intrusive thoughts).

(Just to be clear these thoughts are currently making me extremely distressed, made worse by the fact I'm currently hypomanic from Bipolar)

I’m bipolar as well. Something to think about for what triggered this to be so strong. Hold tight to hope, you can do this

@lad I've always had these thoughts but they are worse at the moment. I suspect my mood stabiliser is to blame, which works a little too well for depression.

@Carm28! Lamictal (Lamotrigine). It's super effective for depression and I'm fine on it for about 6 months but then I get break through anxiety, I've been tweaking the doses with my GP which I've done several times before, and every time I go up a dose I get manic type symptoms and the (what I think is OCD) intrusive thoughts.

@Carm28! I should mention that Lamotrigine actually HELPS with anxiety and OCD in some people, but not for me (at higher doses).

Think of something else, don't just sit home and stress yourself out about OCD. OCD will always be there, do you have to substitute you're thinking. Meditate, because once your subconscious get of hold of your thoughts, you will always continue to think like that

Stay away from old friends cuz they don't understand what you going Drew, start hanging out with your partner, study what type of OCD you have and study about subconscious. Meditate stay away from negative thinking, recognize what that make you think like that stay away from it

@lad If you have Instagram there are accounts that I follow that center around OCD and anxiety. My current favorites are: @obsessivelyeverafter @ocdbaltimore @ocddoodles . I log onto IG daily and their posts help and they also add resources too. Just something to add to your daily routine if that’s something you already do

Is three type of people with OCD, one that have a lot of money just create a life for themselves,the others commit suicide, and the third that suffer and shoes not sure understand their problem and forced himself to try to live a regular life
