Luvox is currently saving my life, I’m a bit tired sometimes but my ocd has settled down and the upside is it also treats depression so I feel happier and more excited about my interests

@GJ7 I also take sleeping medication, a lot of my ocd stress comes from dreams I have and intrusive thoughts as I wake up. Basically the thoughts haven’t stopped but I’m less panicky and less on edge. Being mindful and staying calm when a really awful thought passes is half the battle. I don’t feel cured I just feel more in control and I still have bad days but not as bad before taking Luvox

I love it. I’ve been on it for 2-3 years and it works the best with the least side effects. I’ve tried Zoloft, Effexor, Lexapro, and pamelor before Luvox. I also take Wellbutrin with Luvox but not because it numbs me or anything the way Zoloft did, the dopamine from Wellbutrin helps with my executive dysfunction and self loathing and avoidance. I stopped having panic attacks on Luvox and I can think clearly without a million thoughts banging around my head. Also I don’t have withdrawals if I miss a dose or 2 which is awesome bc sometimes I run out (bc my psychiatrist only prescribed a month at a time). It did take like 6 months after starting Luvox to stabilize though. The first 3 months were horrible but probably bc I had been on ssri for so long before switching and Luvox is an snri. Oh also my severe compulsions have gotten a lot better. Like I used to pick my skin for hours until I was covered in blood and pluck all of my body hair and thank god I can control that.

I currently take 300 mg of Luvox daily, probably for the better part of 10 years now. I would say that 80-90 % of the time, it works great, but around the holidays, for some reason it can be rough. Does anyone else feel this way.?? It usually takes 4-6 weeks for it to kick in!! You’ve got this????

I just got my SSRI’s and I’m kinda nervous to take them so I was wondering if anyone has had a good or bad experience with them.

So my doctor is starting me on 25 mg of Zoloft soon and I'm actually really exicted. I'm finally ready for this to be manageable. I know it's not a cure but I am told that zoloft is primarily recommended for specifically ocd. I'm not sure if I'm ready to start it tonight but yeah. Please do not tell me any negative side effects or anything related to nausea since I'm taking it for emetophobic contamination ocd and I don't need any opinions to make me biased but if any of yoy had SUCCESSFUL zoloft stories please comment!!

So I’ve been off sertraline 50 mg for a couple months now after being on it for 3 years. I got off cuz I was getting bad side effects from it like gaining hella weight and low libido. My anxiety has been so bad so I’m considering trying Prozac since apparently the side effects are less. What’s your experience with it/does it help your anxiety from your intrusive thoughts? I mainly have just somatic ocd
