Yep! I posted on another thread but TMI I had the HIGHEST sex drive and now that my HOCD is constantly in the back of my mind my libido has flatlined. I sucks!

@summer258 I began to deal with this while I had a boyfriend. Before HOCD started, I 70% of the time would initiate sex. (TMI) we would have sex literally ever time we saw each other. We hit a bump in the road with our relationship which made me feel ill towards him at times. Then of course, it was my brains job to say, “why are you upset with him, why don’t you want sex, must mean you’re gay” so that thought flared up a lot. He ended up moving away for his job. A few months later I tried dating again (still in a battle with hocd) and I would go out with a guy and after a few dates we would have sex and I would just be SO in my head about “do I like him, do I enjoy this sex, if you don’t you must be gay” that happened 2 times and now I’m just waiting for my libido to come back. I also think for me I have to be with someone I completely know and trust and can be vulnerable around. So sex with a rando doesn’t do it for me. I hope that helped, ask more questions if you’re confused hahah!

@summer258 I actually have only had pain during sex once and it was after my break up. I went out with a guy and we hooked up and it was painful. I’m not sure if it had any relation to HOCD or not. What’s your experience?

@summer258 Oh for sure, now that you say that the guy I had sex with made a comment to me that I wasn’t “wet enough” ( sorry tmi also) and that triggered me so bad. Hence it being painful because I was so dry. (Another TMI) we were doing it for about 30 minutes because he couldn’t finish which made it hurt even more. (Sorry for everyone reading this) but yes, I have been there where I just can’t get aroused.

@summer258 I haven’t been with anyone sexually for about 5 months. I’m single right now. But I bet if I were to meet a guy and get with him in that way, I wouldn’t be able to relax bc of HOCD ruminating in my head.

@summer258 Yes definitely! I think that’s a lot of women in general too, even if they’re not suffering from HOCD.
