Thank you! It’s only been hours but the cancer is acting fast. She already can’t walk. She was a strong woman. She was one of the people who helped me through my ocd. Idk how I’ll get through this.

@crystalschelden I completely get that... when my grandma was diagnosed with cancer it went right to her legs so quickly. It’s like the moment she got the diagnosis it’s as if cancer just did it’s thing 10x harder. Just know what ever happens everything will be alright and you will get through it. I know things are gonna be rough. But you will find people who will help you through these hard times.

Ok I’m buying it. I usually play sims. I have so much fun with that but it seem that ocd and depression has taken the fun out of it. I’m ordering the game right now! I can use a distraction

Ha! Regarding Sims, same with me. I constantly fear death of a loved one, and between 2017-2019, I have lost four extremely important people to me, one being a child. I am struggling so much with OCD; HOWEVER, I can't even remember the things I did or didn't do to make things even to 'save' those people I lost. I know for a fact that my lack of touching things a certain amount of times to bring them good health DID NOT end their lives, but yet I still do it in the hope I can save others. It is a debilitating disorder, but I want you to know that OCD tendencies ARE NOT the answer and I hope that whatever happens, your symptoms don't return. I will pray for your grandmother and for your ability to cope with the unknown. ❤

Thank you! I needed to hear that. It’s like my brain doesn’t want to accept that this is really happening

I know. It’s been 4 years coming this July and I couldn’t even accept what had happened still and the fact that my grandmother is gone. I don’t think anyone can get over anything like this and it’s hard to accept. There’s something in DBT called radical acceptance which might be useful in this sort of situation though it is one of the hardest DBT skills to learn and use.

Understandable. Honestly covid has made everyone have a rough year so far but hearing about your grandmother on top of that must be really hard for you and I’m so sorry you have to deal with all this :( just know you’re never alone no matter how lonely you may feel and you’ll get through all the bad times. As Katrina in animal crossing says “Just remember, the bad times are just times that are bad”

Thank you for talking with me! Animal crossing? Is that game fun? I’ve been looking into it. My son keeps telling me to buy it ?

Yes it’s a very relaxing game series. It was originally created for the n64 and the theme around it was the feeling of loneliness actually. The creator wanted to show his feelings of being alone in a new place and that’s where animal crossing began all those years ago. The newest game is really great and has definitely personally helped me with my anxiety and ocd.
