Are you in erp therapy or a different type of therapy? The only way to live with ocd is to accept the uncertainty. With erp, it lessens the anxiety surrounding the thing. Like “maybe eating this is consenting to the enemy, maybe not. I will accept the uncertainty and move on”. I struggle with religious ocd also and the most important thing I can say to you is trust Him. He wants us to get better. Good luck!

Hi, first off I want to tell you that I’ve been scared of my salvation and still am sometimes way too many times to count. Second, Jesus will ALWAYS want something to do with you. He died for you on the cross! Even when we were still sinners. He loves you sooo much!! Maybe this will comfort you. “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalm 30:5 His anger lasts only a moment!! He isn’t sitting up there angry with you over these thoughts. I haven’t had those same thoughts necessarily, but I’ve had so many negative thoughts about my faith. Also, my mind has ALSO told me that “I don’t care”. It’s ALL ocd. That’s what it does. The fact that you want to care shows so much. If you are saved, it shows you LOVE Jesus! (And He loves you too)! I know that I especially can sometimes feel like He gets super upset with us, but He knows we have ocd. There’s nothing you could ever do to make Him walk away from you. I’ll be praying for you, and I’m always here to talk if you need a friend ?
