"I just don't know how to explain these thoughts" Would you like to try ☺? It might help to organize your mind a bit.

almost all thoughts relate as if something bad is going to happen and very scary images and stories (which are created by my own thoughts) come to my mind. even if I try to close my eyes (to distract myself a little) I feel as if inside my head is a voice that repeats these thoughts and images to me. and then my OCD starts which wants to do different things (eg grab something a few times until I feel good)

@Ocd__letmebefree! I think I can relate to a degree ☺. What do you think of this quote? "There is nothing so certain in our fears that's not yet more certain in the fact that most of what we dread comes to nothing." - Seneca

@Ben84 I love and understand this but I can not "implement" it. You know sometimes I say to myself who my thoughts are to do something bad, it makes no sense but again I do my OCD. Now i'm trying to do less so i try to not replaying catching things too many times..

@Ocd__letmebefree! May I ask how long you've been dealing with this?

@Ocd__letmebefree! Knowing when and where you have these thoughts can help a lot. What exactly is the feeling that you're connecting with "bad"? What is the exact situation in which these thoughts follows the feeling? How can you think of the other ways in place of that thought? Example:- Im listening to music then suddenly a word comes "hate". A feeling of coldness and uneasiness comes to me. A thought comes "what if I harmed someone in the past by mistake". Alternate thought can be "I didnt do that on purpose. Also, Im not sure if I actually did that. I say sorry to people most of the times when something like this happens". We cant prove the thoughts just right or wrong because we have OCD not allowing us to "distinguish" them. We do can focus on thoughts, feelings and actions and make our body learn that its okay and this anxiety isnt of the problem Im really thinking of.

@Ben84 @Ben84 I do not remember for sure but I think 13 14 , now Iam 16 but these last two years have been those years that OCD became my "routine" I do not want to lie (bc I dont remember so well) but I do from the age of 13 or younger I did things like catch things 2 times (once with one hand once with the other) but I did not understand what it was and it did not bother me.

@Believe @Believe There are some situations that make me have these thoughts, for example if a member of my family feels bad or has a health concern, also when almost everything is going well I start to think that something will happen. There are times when thoughts that do not go away just repeating so much in my mind that there are times when I start to have a big fear.

@Ocd__letmebefree! So work on identifying when you're having these thoughts. Sometimes we dont notice that we are stuck in thinking traps only when they grow and get our attention. As you keep identitying and getting out of the thinking traps, you mind will open further for the things that matter. Because they we get the space the unwanted thoughts had been taking.

@Ocd__letmebefree! @Believe makes good points. I remember being your age and just beginning to deal with OCD. I thought my life might be a TV show (what a boring show that would be ?) and I had really bad contamination issues. You kids are dealing with a lot right now. Growing up, OCD, the pandemic, plus who knows what else. You got the short end of the stick. But you're on the right track just by being on this app. You have a lot of awareness of your situation that will hopefully make your road a little easier ☺.

@Ben84 Yes, I love this app, it is the place where i can open what I have in mind and it has helped me a lot even when I read some of the other people who are struggling with OCD and realize that I am not the only one doing these things? But sometimes (like now) I think I exaggerate, so when I open up and read what I write I have a different feeling and I say "do not overdo it" but in fact I am the one who does OCD from the moment I wake up..? (what a messs?♀️?) Maybe I have this opinion because I never open up this way to what I think.

@Ocd__letmebefree! I've been working with elementary school kids for quite a while now so I know plenty of kids who are now your age. I'd be pleased to know if they were anything like you ☺. Keep fighting the good fight and I'll "see" you around!
