Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh. Yet another theme I forgot about. I used to chat to a guy with a cannibalism fetish, ultimately found it just too creepy/dangerous feeling since I watched documentaries/read articles about cannibals who found willing victims etc. Then for a while after it had just disturbed me so much that I was paranoid that I could be like that, and I got a similar feeling after the thing where those girls stabbed their friend because of the Slenderman thing. I don't think it ever went as far as me checking my salivation or hunger sensations for evidence, but I just have spent my life feeling like I'm a bad person because of trauma so it latches onto these kind of things and if I think about them too much, I get this dread feeling and idea that it must be true about me, and I have to deliberately peel my mind away from it. I think it's a pretty unique theme but try to remember that they're all the same. Maybe your stomach sensations are hunger, maybe they're not, maybe it's hunger because you're just hungry/peckish anyway, maybe it's not, maybe you're salivating more, maybe you're just noticing your normal salivation more, maybe it's salivation from hunger, maybe it's from anxiety. The point isn't to try to investigate which one of these options are true, it's to say maybe to all of them, whenever your brain presents them. When you have a scary idea, like that thinking about cannibalism is making you hungry, you can say "maybe" and then instead of investigating it, think about and do something else. When you have an idea that feels comforting, like that you were just hungry anyway, you can say "maybe" to that too, and think about something else. Try to avoid habitually checking on your hunger or salivation. Try to spend less time thinking about the fear, and when you notice that you've started to think about it or you have the urge to think about it, put your mind to something else instead. You don't need to know for sure right this moment. Everything is ok and you are safe in this moment.

I found your advicr very helpful! That is what I've been thinkingh actually. I am not realy investigating that it is true to me, I found this intrusive thoughts very nonsense and yet my mouth waters just over the context of eating in general, not what they are eating. (just imagine those eating videos) I have no urge to think but just thought of something else that is food other than the theme of cannibalism itself

I found the theme occuring into my head is the most unrealistic thing as possible yet, but being certain fuels my anxiety. So I just have to go with maybes on this theme. It is just the context of eating in general, not what is being eaten as I said. Even the words "eat" make me salivate (yeah, I been eating a lot to cope OCD in general)
