We could be more mindful, and try to direct those feelings elsewhere. If you're aware its a typical anxiety or ocd-related thing, maybe try to see it as such. Maybe even say, Im in a bad mood, sorry, its not you, its just a phase Im going through. Its difficult for a s.o to always be the target of our anxiety and lash outs

I try hard, I don't want to breakup with him. I try not to get angry on him. I am afraid of my thoughts ruining my feelings. I am in a long distance right now and I haven't met him since 5months

It's the "if you're aware It's a typical anxiety or ocd-related thing" that bothers me.

@sah4 It bothers me so much that I start feeling that OCD is just an excuse, and I really don't like him. I got dark circles and I lost a few kgs, m already skinny. It bothers me.

@sah4 What bothers you about it, that you cant tell if it is?

@catagui Yep :/ I don't know what it is. I appreciate what you said about identifying that nothing happened to cause this so it's most likely a manifestation of anxiety or ocd.

@sah4 Yeah. I think the problem is that with ocd, everything really feeels so real. Its not "just a thought", we feel it as truth in every single way. So when we try to think or feel our way towards an answer it gets very confusing, because all we see and feel are the bad things that reinforces our fears. This often makes me feel like theres nothing to hold, no stable ground. In these cases, the only thing that helps me navigate is the patterns. Its the only objective absolute truth. So I have to question "DO I have anxiety? (Worry, stiff back/neck, yawning alot)", "DO I feel urges to perform compulsions? (Googling, imagining scenarios etc).", "Am I ruminating/am I able to let go of this thought right now?". Those are the only objective truths I have, my solid ground, when everything feels chaos. And If Im doing all of that, I need to accept that my ocd might be tricking me, and that I have to stop doing compulsions.

I get you, its not easy, if it was we wouldnt be here <3. Maybe a good identifyer could be "hm, I woke up with anxiety and anger, but nothing happened during the night to make me feel this way, therefor I will from now on label this as anxiety, this is ocd", then keep trying your best to live and behave according to your values.

i feel the hard thing is that the anger seems and feels so legitimate in the moment, but If we notice our patterns it can be slightly easier to know when to pick our fights

Omg ! I got the same feeling even today all anger apparently goes on him. We are also in a long distance. I get angry, my feet starts to shake... It's irritating. The thought of breakup feels so real. I don't want to... We are not alone.. We need to battle it by not working on the thought much As in even if the thought comes to your mind, count 5 things round you, observe their shape, deep breaths and therapy
