I'm not boy crazy and I don't catch feelings easily. I also sense when a guy has feelings for me and then I would avoid them. This sweet guy just confessed to me (i suspected that he had feelings for me) and I got triggered. I didn't reject him, but I told him we should get to know each other more. OCD twisted this though :/ "What if he likes me and I'll never be able to like him?" "what if i'll never be able to develop feelings?" "what if i'm not being my true self?" IM SO CONFUSED AND I FEEL LIKE A BAD PERSON FOR CONSTANTLY REJECTING THE GUYS THAT LIKE ME. The guys that I do like me don't like me back and they are cold towards me. I'm so scared that this is a sign and i'm denying the truth or something. I hate feeling all shaky and empty. It's like i have no feelings anymore. Please reply someone. I'm so lost.

Yeah, it really sucks doesn’t it. But I guess the upside of it is, you’re probably single when you do meet the right person!! Haha!! Hmm maybe so 🤔 I’m no scientist or anything, it’s just a theory, but... all my collected evidence is adding up... 😂

I have had similar experiences when I was younger. I think it’s normal to feel this way, especially with OCD. For me, the standards for a romantic partner are very high, and so I didn’t like a lot of guys, and I would feel bad when I didn’t like a guy back. But really, if you don’t like a guy, you just don’t like him. It’s okay. You’re not bad for not reciprocating, even if he is sweet.

You don’t have zero feelings, it’s clear that you feel a lot of things. Like the guys you do know that you like. You’re normal. There’s time. Eventually, there will be a guy you like who likes you back, and things will work out. It doesn’t need to be immediate. (And if you do feel guilty about this sweet guy, I would say that’s not a great place to start a relationship. Just my two cents.)

Oh I see. Well I am actually bi and I can tell you - it’s very confusing, but there are plenty of people on both sides I am completely unattracted to. It’s very normal to have swaths of men that you don’t like, even if you’re attracted to men.

@stars That’s totally understandable! Sexuality is very confusing no matter what the orientation is. Haha. Especially when OCD is thrown into the mix. I have a theory that people with OCD like us experience attraction less than most people because of our extremely high standards and rigidity but I digress

@fo Yeah, i definitely have high standards but it sucks when OCD latches onto that cause you'll start feeling guilty and shameful :/ Ahhh, but you're right!!
