Rocd is you question your love for your partner, your attraction to their your, your partner's love for you. Basically you have get alot of doubts. If you keep getting thoughts about do I really love him, do I really need him, am I really attracted to him, it's most likely ROCD.

I’ve had those doubts forever and it’s to the point that I just feel down right unhappy with him. I’m so confused and so is he and it’s terrible for both our mental health at this point..

@ahazlett I understand, you may feel unhappy, but you shouldn't let the rocd make you leave him or give up on him, So I suggest you try and find coping methods or Maybe speak to a therapist or try and speak to him and let him understand your situation.

@Jessicuh I’ve told him all about it and talk about it all the time. We took a break for a week and it was awful and it’s just been a really rough couple months. He says he loves me to the point that he just wants me to be happy and tells me to leave if I need to and I just can’t bring myself too. I’m so attached to him but I don’t feel any feelings for him. I get grossed out sometimes when we make out because there’s too much saliva or tongue and I find myself pulling away and getting all in my head about it. Nitpicking all his tiny flaws and I can’t even enjoy anything anymore. Last night I started sobbing during sex because I wasn’t feeling anything and I just felt numb toward him. It’s so awful. Sometimes I feel like I should just leave him for my mental health and to stop dragging his heart through the mud.

@ahazlett You tried to take a break from him and it ended up awful, That's one thing showing you that you really wanna be with him but your mind is causing so much stress that you can't even feel your love, You need to try different things like how to cope, how to breathe when it happens, all those things, and you need to make yourself happy, if you make yourself happy you'll be happy and he will be the extra happiness you deserve.

@Jessicuh It was awful because I kept going back and forth with what to do like break up for food or try again and nothing seems like the right answer :(

This is me with my husband of 7 years. I’ll be fine for awhile and then all of a sudden (usually a week before my period) crazy spike in my ROCD. I spend a week in anguish trying to cope. It’s awful.

I find that I actually had a similar pattern with my previous dates. The doubting never left.

Did you find that it was all ROCD or were you just unhappy??

@ahazlett Well admittedly I was unhappy in my past relationships. But the doubt still carried over even if my boyfriend is the love of my life. The pattern was still there but I stay because I want him. I don't want to get in to details because it might feed your obsessions (just as how I observed mine). I guess my point is you can still love someone and have these background thoughts with OCD
