I’m a Christian, and I’ve learned that God and Jesus are not as judgmental as you think. They really understand even when you don’t think they do. I’ve had a lot of scary thoughts too, and I was so scared that I was a bad person or something. You can do it. They are there, and can comfort you. I’ll pray for you.

Dear lord. May I thank you for bringing comfort and protection to us on this very day. Right now we have so many of your sons and daughters in pain and in discomfort because of OCD, because of the devils temptations, urges, thoughts, and feelings. Lord Jesus, please give us the courage and the strength needed to purge us of all evil. Give us the strength to take upon your sword of truth, as well as your shield of knowledge, and use it to plunge the devil back into the pits of hell so that we as your sons and daughters can focus our minds and hearts into worshipping you, to praise you, and to bring us joy and happiness, so that when you return and give us our final judgement, that we shall be able to enter the kingdom of heaven under your name and grace. So that we may spend eternity singing psalms and shouting praise towards our loving father. In your name we pray, AMEN.

Can I ask you a question? How can you tell if Jesus and god are there besides you? Because right now I feel so alone and scared, as well as disillusioned. I just want god and Jesus grace to enter my body and rid me of this disgusting HOCD.

@SOOCD Honestly sometimes you will really feel his presence, which I have before. But sometimes you feel alone. Even Jesus has felt alone and said in the garden “father why have you abandoned me”? It’s hard to understand and I don’t think we ever will until we get to meet god and then all our questions will be answered. All I have to say is keep praying. Try meditating while thinking of god, and if you still don’t. He is there, he is unknown and above all so therefore he is to wonderful for our minds to really comprehend.

@happy065 Please pray for me. I hope, no I beg the father to give me the strength and cleanse me of this HOCD. Because it feels like I’m losing every day.

Also like they said ^ Jesus and god knows what we do not. I’m saying this because we sometimes think that they will judge all, and sometimes it is put out there that everyone is going to be cast into hell, etc. truly I believe that it is not the case. Jesus understands your worries, he knows your intentions, and above all. He is LOVING.

I just wish I could hear god and Jesus’ voice, and listen to them like the apostles and Saint Paul did. I wish they could answer my prayers. And cure my of my HOCD.

When we pray, God can speak back to us through the scriptures, and help us find verses that really help. I have received much comfort through the scriptures. I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so we also believe that The Book of Mormon is true scripture, and it has really helped me through very hard times. I also believe we can receive personal revelation through the Holy Ghost when we pray for it, and He speaks to us in a small, comforting voice or feeling. Please don’t get obsessed about feeling the Holy Ghost though. It comes with time. Often times, it feels like God is not answering, but we just need to have patience. He will answer your prayers for help, maybe through NOCD. In the meantime, we can grow from our trials. Hang in there. I have felt very hopeless, and like I had passed my breaking point, but God came through for me. When Jesus was suffering in the Garden of Gethsemene, He not only took upon our sins, but also our trials and afflictions so the He knows exactly what we’re going through and how to help. It takes time though.
