And I think acknowledging the topic of 'are they looking at me right now which means they want to have sex?' is an obsession for you. Obsessions are the opposite of what the world portrays them as. The world would say this is something someone is highly interested in, its their favourite thing. But in OCD, obsessions are intrusive thoughts that create distress, anxiety, and make us pay a lot of attention to the obsession. A lot of progress with OCD comes with firstly understand the disorder and what that looks like for YOU in every day living. I've seen on your previous posts that you have an obsession about someone looking at you and the attachment you have given to that. Have you started treatment? Having a therapist pull apart your thoughts into the OCD model for treatment is really important to recover and make progress 😊

No my previous therapist was an ocd specialist but she thinks I need a higher level of care but I don’t think I will be able to get a higher level of care. As for the obsession my previous therapist thinks this is psychosis and not ocd. Kind of similar kind of not. I don’t think they want to have sex with me. I feel that they’re kind of forcing me to have sexual thoughts when I’m not even thinking about sex. When I start to feel an arousal and it has nothing to do with what I’m looking at I just start to not put any attention to what’s in front of me cuz I can’t focus on it and I just let whatever is causing my arousal feeling to run through its coarse and let whatever thought or thoughts to go by until the arousal feeling is gone. Usually my mind just needs to think about sex with a women for my arousal feeling to go away and for me to get an erection. I can see the thoughts in my head keep repeating themselves but don’t really know what erp to do for it. I do currently have a therapist but he’s not an ocd specialist so he doesn’t really know how to help me. I just kind of go about my day noticing everything. Does that help me get out of my head a little but not all the way. I’m not sure if my previous therapist really knew how far into recovery I was at and what might actually help me or not. My ocd is complicated which is no different from anyone else’s ocd. I’ll ask my psychiatrist to get prescribed for a medication that’s specifically for psychosis and a psychotic disorder if it makes any difference on my body feeling sensations or arousal from people just looking at me. Like I’ll try out another psychotic medication to see if it makes any change so we’ll see. Maybe it will maybe it won’t. I mean after a week if I can still feel sensations and arousals from being on the medication than it’s just ocd and will have to figure out on my own what to do after that.
