Hi! I’m currently taking Zoloft. I was prescribed it for anxiety and I’m currently on 50 mg. As of right now it really hasn’t helped me, BUT I do know many people that are taking Zoloft and it has helped them significantly when dealing with depression! Every body is different and it’ll effect people differently as well, the only way to know what it’ll do for you is to try it! I hope it helps!

25mg is a super low dose! the side effects, if you even experience any, will be minimal. also, if you don’t like it, you can always switch meds!

Thank you for commenting! It really helped. Like I said depression has been my issue lately ocd has been in the background, it’s still there not completely healed so my therapist thinks it’s best to focus on my depression first now since it’s been interfering with my life more.

@Gaby i see. so you’ve found that the SOOCD comes in waves, sort of comes and goes ?

@missbluesky Yes there are moments when it’s not there and when it’s there so I guess yeah it comes and goes but because of that I still don’t feel myself yet which is part of my depression.

SAME I got 3 different meds prescribed today. Took only 1 and did nothing. I don’t want to be up all night tossing and turning it will make my depression worse I had bad expereinces with meds when I was younger.

I was in the same boat you were. I was originally prescribed Paxil and I was avoidant of taking it for a few days. My depression and OCD was so painful tho, I finally took a plunge. I do not regret it. I’m on Zoloft now, the Paxil was making me too lethargic and giving me other undesirables, although it was working as well. The meds take a few weeks to really work. I can say I didn’t really feel a substantial difference until week 3. It could not work, but it could also change your life. I’m glad I started taking my meds. You should give them a shot.

@Gaby The biggest one was just a slight change in my libido, but it evened out after taking it for a couple of weeks.

@henry.omar But other than that, it really. Granted I’m on a lower dose, I’ve heard people on higher doses complain about more side effects.

@henry.omar Oh okay my doctor is starting me off on 25 mg but I asked if I could start with half the pill first to see. I hope the side effects aren’t bad

@Gaby They shouldn’t be. Just go into it with a positive attitude and an open mind. I started at 25 and then went up to 50.

@Gaby Theee ya go! Just make sure to be consistent, they take a little time to fully work their magic. You should start feeling substantial changes as the days progress.

Hey I’m on my second day of pristiq 25mg ER. Last night was an adventure I had numerous vivid dreams.. couple were scary and felt so real haha. But I feel like my mood is better this morning and I’m more positive. Won’t see full effects for around a month
