This is a common fear Christians have, especially ones with OCD.

What compulsions do you do to (temporarily) relieve the fear of hell? See if there is a way you can starve out each one. Or is there a situation that provokes the fears more that can be used for exposures? I watched the Dix Names Sequence from the E. Of Emily Rose movie to trigger some of my religious themes.

The compulsions I usually do to temporarily relieve myself consists of repenting and begging god to forgive me. I was in a really bad mental state earlier which triggered me to ask things like “why does god do this to me” and then I said “you know what, god isn’t even real” and then 10 minutes later I was sitting on the couch begging god to forgive me

@✨𝒯𝓇𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎✨ Been there. See if you can last 20 minutes next time. If you aren't ready to avoid a compulsion, delaying it can be a powerful first step.

How do you feel you have mocked God?

@✨𝒯𝓇𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎✨ From reading the comments below, it sounds like you might have said/thought that in a moment of frustration about your OCD/anxiety. But, it doesn’t seem like you believe God isn’t real. Is that correct?

@AY-Be Correct. I believe in God.

@✨𝒯𝓇𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎✨ Great - so focus on that! Remind yourself of your faith in God. Intrusive thoughts that stem from OCD does not represent who you are as a person. Clearly, this is the case with you. You may say something or think something in moments of anxiety or frustration, but you know you believe in God and you are not mocking Him. Everyone has intrusive thoughts ... it’s all about to which thoughts we give meaning and place undue power. All Christians have doubt from time to time. Even those in the Bible struggled with doubt. We are natural beings created to believe in a supernatural God. He understands and extends constant grace. He sees your desire to love Him and I know that He wishes to see you set free from OCD!

@✨𝒯𝓇𝒾𝓃𝒾𝓉𝓎✨ Also remember that guilt and condemnation are not from the Lord. If you are feeling these things, you know that God hasn’t placed these feelings in you. Nor does it originate from His Spirit. His perfect love casts out fear. Continue to press into His love even on days when it feels impossible. Just sit before Him, even if nothing is said. May you have a deeper revelation of God’s immense love for you.

Everyone with ocd and that’s a Christian usually goes through this. I lost sleep and weight and went to bed at 7:30 every night and slept in. I felt paralyzed and I know that everything that everyone tells you of that you haven’t commited it and your fine (you don’t believe). But trust me god is understanding (extremely). He knows what your going through he knows you have ocd and have fear that you betrayed him. He dosnt want you to be scared.
